Mogan stays warm and pleasant into November, with conditions often still warm enough for sunbathing. In Puerto de Mogan is the wonderful Restaurante El Capuchino 501, serving delicious Spanish dishes such as paella, fresh fish, seafood and meat dishes. Popular with locals as well as visitors, the restaurant is set back from the beach and is a quieter and more relaxed restaurant than many beachfront options, and is great value for money. Wash the meals down with a cold glass of beer or wine, and experience the friendly and attentive service you will get when you visit this restaurant.

Things To Do

Feel like you are in Mexico when you visit Cactualdea Park in nearby San Nicholas. Featuring hundreds of cacti in desert-like surroundings, this 15,000 square metre park also has caves dating back to the cave-dwelling canarii people, gardens with peacocks and ducks, and a restaurant with terrace that serves, among other things, cactus juice.

Visitors interested in history will enjoy the private Museo Castillo de la Fortaleza in Santa Lucia. Set in a fort in the centre of the small town, this museum has many artefacts from the region such as animal and insects, sea life, human remains, handicrafts, artwork as well as modern art from the local people. The garden and restaurant provide a nice spot for lunch or a cool drink after exploring this unique museum.
