Things to do
Malta's only natural park is the Majjistral Nature and History Park located in the northwest part of the island between Golden Bay and Anchor Bay. This area includes a rich and important ecological, cultural and rural heritage. Visitors to this park can see farmhouses, rubble walls, tombs, caves and huts used for shelter dating back to the Classical Period. There is also British military architecture remaining from the early 20th century. The stunning landscape is great for trekking in the cooler months and there are guided walks held between October and May.
In nearby Golden Bay, is the horse riding centre. Catering for all levels from beginners to advanced riders, this is a popular excursion and a fun way to see some more of the coast.
