    Things to do in Fethiye in November

    Hiking

    One of the most popular things to do in Fethiye during the month of November is to go walking or hiking. Fethiye is surrounded by beautiful woods that are perfect for exploring. In fact, both the Fethiye Hash and the nearby Olu Deniz Hash organize walks on Sundays if you want to take a walk in a group. 

    If you prefer to go on your own, there are many trails through Fethiye's woods and hills that will allow you to explore by yourself.  After you have explored Fethiye you will likely be hungry.  Luckily, Fethiye offers great lunch and dinner options for you to enjoy.

    Boat Tour

    In addition to taking a walk or a hike, one great way to spend your time in Fethiye is by taking a boat tour around the Lycian coast.  This renowned "Blue Cruise" travels all the way to Olympos and provides a beautiful and comfortable way to see the sights.

    In the old town of Fethiye, you can simply spend a day strolling around the Pastapur area. This historic heart of the resort is still dotted with cozy restaurants, colourful shops, lively bars and filled with atmospheric streets.

    Ruins of Tlos Ancient City

    The biggest and most renowned landmark in Fethiye is the Tlos ruins. Anyone visiting Turkey should see these amazing left overs of the ancient city. The ruins of Tlos Ancient City are located high up on a hill, overlooking Xanthos Valley (one of the oldest and largest settlements of Lycia). The stunning views of the valley from the hill are just an added bonus! The ancient city was inhabited by Romans, Byzantines and Ottoman Turks. History lovers will find the Lycain city interesting and it was amazingly inhabited until the 19th century. See the tombs that date back to the 3rd century and get some awesome photos in this area of Fethiye. 

    Fethiye Museum

    On a rainy November afternoon, you have the wonderful option to visit Fethiye Museum, a great history museum right off the main street in the centre of the town. Exhibits feature artifacts from various historical periods, from Lycian, Hellenistic and Roman to Byzantine times. The museum is open to the public every day, except on Mondays.
