Fethiye, Turkey, is beautiful in April with weather much milder than the peak summer months of July and August, and beautiful lush landscapes due to the winter rain.
Rainfall
April sees only 7 days of rain, on average, with a total average precipitation rate of only 40mm. This makes it the sixth driest month of the year, after the five following months. April is definitely the start of the drier half of the year in the resort.
The probability that rainfall occurs varies throughout the month. April 1 is the wettest day with a 35% chance that it will rain. April 30 is the driest day; the chance of rainfall has lowered to 28% by then. There are three main types of rainfall. Thunderstorms happen most often, on 51% of all days with rainfall. April is also the month in which the Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey is sometimes held. At the end of April (or sometimes in early May), this tour serves as a way to prepare citizens for the upcoming summer. The tour comes through Fethiye when the riders come in from Denizli.
