What's The Weather Like In Vilamoura In November

November is decidedly colder than October in VilamouraPortugal, and marks the start of the downward spiral into winter. The resort is very quiet at this time of year, and many of the restaurants and activities shut down for the next few months so be sure to check opening times and the availability of the things you'd like to do.

Temperature

With daily average temperatures of 15°C it's not too cold, but there is a certain winter chill in the air. The sun is still warm, though, providing a crisp and refreshing atmosphere. On some days temperatures can reach 19°C and higher, particularly at the start of the month during the hottest part of the day, but at night it's a chilly 11°C. Slip a few cardigans and jumpers into your suitcase to keep the cool winter bite at bay, but remember to pack some suncream too as the Portuguese sun is still warm at this time of year.

If you're visiting Vilamoura at the start of November, expect average high temperatures of around 21°C and average lows of 15°C. Towards the end of the month the temperatures drop a fair bit, with the average high temperature sitting at around 18°C and the average low temperatures dipping as cold as 8°C.

November in Vilamoura might not boast the best beach weather, but the sands are free of the summer crowds and the sea is still relatively warm. Plus, if you don't fancy lying on the beach all day, simply take a walk in the surroundings or try your hand at some watersports.

Nossa Senhora da Rocha

Nossa Senhora da Rocha beach features a beautiful thin strip of sand bordered by tall, imposing cliffs. The secluded feel to the beach not only provides a bit of peace and quiet, but also offers shelter from any wind or rain. Sao Rafael

Vaults in nearby Almancil is not only a fabulous dinner choice, but also an architectural wonder, with exposed brick, domed interiors that were once a coach house. Sundays are carvery days, serving up the best local meats, but for the rest of the week there is a 2-course set menu including classic dishes like warm goat's cheese, lamb shank, pork fillet, Eton mess, and apple crumble. 

The Zanzibar

For well-priced traditional food, head to The Zanzibar in the Old Village. Every week there is live music, as well as the occasional karaoke night, and the menu is filled with hearty meals like steak, lamb, and freshly caught fish dishes. The specials of the day change regularly so keep an eye out for them, too.
