Cool and breezy. Had to buy a coat but judging by the number of people weraing 'San Francisco' jackets we were not the only ones caught out.Holiday
San Francisco is a really vibrant city with lots of good fish restaurants.Only downside is the amount of tipping that goes on, particualrly when the food etc was not cheap.
This was part of a three centre holday and definately the best place to go first -would have been disappointed if last part of the holiday had been in such cool conditions.
Places Recommended
Any of the seafood resturants.Golden Gate Bridge - we took the tour bus over it then walked back.
Union Square - sit and have a coffee or beer and watch the world go by.
Alcatraz but recommend buying tickets online before you visit as it can be difficult to get hod of them when you are there.
Pier 39 - for the quaintness and to see the seals.
