Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Weather November Averages, Canary Islands
With its signature warmth and sunny days, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is an excellent place to visit in November. This Spanish island city is much warmer during the early winter months than the mainland cities in Spain. Located further south, just southwest of Morocco, the city has warm weather year round and makes for an excellent retreat from the cooler temperatures in Europe.
The average temperature in November is 21°C in Las Palmas. Lows drop to just 18°C in the evening and highs can reach 24°C during the day, making for a warm month. Meanwhile, in Spain's capital Madrid, the average temperature is just 10°C. The warmth is paired with a bit more rain in November than other months. It's the second rainiest month with 29 mm of rain over 10 days throughout the month, coming in just under December's 37 mm. There is a 23% chance of a rainy day in Las Palmas this month.
When it's not raining, however, Las Palmas receives approximately 8 hours of sunshine each day, and has a 38% chance of a sunny day. The sea temperature remains warm in November (even warmer than the spring months when it drops down to 18°C) at 22°C, making for very comfortable swims and snorkeling excursions.
There is a 54% chance of a windy day in November, which is much lower than the summer months. The lower wind makes planning water activities such as parasailing much easier during November. By taking advantage of the warm weather, low wind and warm sea temperatures, tourists can enjoy an active vacation in Las Palmas with the occasional trip to a museum or restaurant when the warm rain falls. Because this is a low tourism season for Las Palmas, those who visit during November will enjoy less crowded sites and beaches.
