Florida Strawberry Festival
In Plant City, the annual Florida Strawberry Festival is held almost every March of the year. There will be fairs, rides, games, foods and drinks booths. Think of a huge carnival-like atmosphere mixed with a country music concert. And of course, the star of the event: strawberries. Luscious strawberries as the main ingredient in every dish and drink available, including the festival's staple strawberry shortcake. The admission fee is only minimal. You won't actually be spending a lot at all because there's free entertainment in the area as well.
Dinosaur World
Give yourself a thrill and feel what it was like to be in the age of dinosaurs by visiting Dinosaur World in Plant City. There are more than 150 life-sized dinosaurs and you can do a fossil dig to search for souvenir fossils. There are playgrounds for the children and caves; you can also bring your own food and have a picnic.
Tampa Bay
Approximately 35 kilometres away from Plant City is Tampa Bay. Tampa has similar weather to Plant City. There are many things to see and do in Tampa Bay for tourists in March such as the Sunken Gardens, museums, aquariums, zoos and parks. Near Tampa Bay are two islands: Honeymoon Island and Caladesi Island where you can sunbathe, go swimming, boating, and fishing.
