What's the Weather like in Florida in April
April is the quintessential spring month in Florida, a state that has a (sub) tropical climate with delightful weather throughout the whole year. This month is characterised by higher temperatures than the winter months, but more bearable temperatures than the peak summer months of, say, June and July. The average temperature in April is a delightful 22°C, which is two degrees higher than it was in March and three degrees below what it will be in May. Nights are very comfortable this time of year, averaging 16°C, which is ideal for evening walks, for example. The afternoons already get quite warm, the mercury reaching an average high of 28°C. Both these average low and high temperatures increase by about three degrees in the course of the month.

The sky is at its clearest this month, cloud cover decreasing from 28% to 26%, which is the lowest percentage in the whole year. In addition to that, the length of the days in April increases further. With 12.27 hours of daylight, April 1 is the shortest day of the month. April 20 is the longest day, with 13.13 daylight hours.
