Dress Code

If you're visiting Abu Dhabi in November you'll want to wear light, loose clothing to stay cool.  You will also want to respect the local customs that are quite different from Western culture.  Men should wear long pants and at least short sleeve shirts.  Men should also wear shorts at the beach, similar to board shorts.

Women must be covered from their shoulders to past their knees when out in most public places.  A two-piece bikini is okay for the beach.  If women are visiting a mosque they should be completely covered except for their hands and face.  Also note that air conditioning keeps the buildings cold, so you may want a light jacket.  Check the Abu Dhabi extended forecast before your trip for a better idea of the expected weather.
