Weather in Playa del Carmen is insanely hot; the sun is brutal so make sure you bring SPF 70 sunscreen, hats, plenty of bathing suits, and water shoes since most activities are in the water and around Cenotes.

Don%u2019t drink water unless it is bottled. Avoid ice in drinks since it could make your stomach kind of funky.

Also bring Pepto or Imodium. Don%u2019t get me wrong, the food it%u2019s great but somehow, some of us are not used to it so be cautious.

Holiday

Our holiday was fantastic.

Playa del Carmen is amazing, there's so much to do there.

We stayed at the Mahelka hotel located right on the ocean and 3 blocks from fifth avenue where the strip ends.

The hotel was great; our room was a palapa with a very comfy bed, with no T.V., radio, phone or fridge for a total mind relaxation.

Outside our room we had two hammocks where we sat to talk about the adventures during the day while listening to the sea waves, and sipping margaritas; we were in heaven.

The restaurants at our hotel didn%u2019t have good food but right outside our hotel we found this place called La Cueva del Chango: a beautiful place with amazing food.

Across from it there%u2019s a pizza place called Piola, for when you get tired of eating Mexican. Mamitas is a fun place to have drinks, it%u2019s like a mini Nikkis Beach, and Canibal Royal for sea food.

Last but not least, get a wedding package.
They must have some amazing deals since, while walking along the beach one day we saw at least 20 weddings going on. Wow!
