Famara Beach

Famara Beach is situated in a fishing village which is extremely popular with all different types of holiday makers. The beach has many kilometres of beach, with occupies a large curving bay.

Famara experiences the brunt of the tradewinds, which sweet in from the Atlantic, making this a popular beach with surfers. The beach appears endless, with steep cliffs appearing from the ocean.

Papagayo

Things to do in Lanzarote in November

Music Hall Tavern

If the cool November nights are a bit chilly for you, stay warm by taking in a show. Music Hall Tavern is one of the most popular on the island and takes place in Puerto del Carmen every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The family-friendly drag show is always a huge hit with adults and children alike and the price of your ticket includes a three-course meal and drink on arrival.

La Santa Beach

If you love to ride the waves, make sure you go surfing during your holiday in Lanzarote. The waves are at their largest between November and March, making this month a great one to grab your board and head to the beach if you're an experienced surfer. La Santa Beach is one of the best ones on the island for surfing and features several different sections, each of which is frequented by different types of surfer. If you want to try and blend in with the locals hit the Slab section, or if you prefer a mix of nationalities, locals and visitors, head to El Quemao.

Lagomar Museum

Since it falls within the winter season, there is always a chance of an overcast day or two in November. If the clouds are blocking your holiday sunshine and you're not sure what to do, why not visit the Lagomar Museum? Briefly owned by actor Omar Sharif, this museum is a truly unique place to visit, full of architectural interest, lagoons and hidden areas to explore.

Caldera Blanca

The cooler temperatures make November a great month to go hiking in Lanzarote. The trek up Caldera Blanca one of the dormant volcanoes on the island is one not to be missed. The hike takes around three hours to complete and it's highly recommended that you take some trainers or hiking boots, food and water with you. The view from the top of the crater is amazing, so make sure you take your camera, too. If you're travelling with young children or just don't fancy hiking to the very top of the volcano, a walk around the area is pleasant enough.
