This is a wonderful time to visit Ko Chang, as the weather is fantastic. November is the first month of the dry season in this vacation island in Southeast Asia time of year that is characterised by less rainfall and increasing sunshine.

During the day, the average temperature high is about 30°C, and the minimum nighttime temperature averages 20°C, which is a two-degree drop since October. The average daily temperature is 25°C, making November the "coolest" month of the year in Ko Change, together with December. The weather is still hot, though, and visitors should expect 8 hours of sunshine per day, a two-hour increase compared with the previous month. The average sea temperature in November is about 29°C and the humidity isn't so high anymore.

Not much rain is experienced during this time of year as the average monthly rainfall is only 96mm. This is a dramatic decrease when compared with the previous wet season monthsctober, for example, received 296mm of rainfall. Together with March, November is the fourth driest of all months. The 96mm of rainfall this month is spread out over 12 days, which means that rainfall generally occurs in short showers. Thunderstorms are the most prevalent rainfall type; they occur on 62% of the 12 wet days. Moderate rain occurs on only 28% of those days, while light rain is even more unlikely to be seen, occurring on 11% of the days with rainfall. The chance that it will rain falls dramatically in the course of the month. November 1 is the wettest day of the month with a chance of rainfall of 42%. November 30 is the driest day, having a chance of rainfall of merely 17%.

This is the perfect time to engage in marine activities like scuba diving and snorkelling or in land-based activities such as sunbathing and hiking.

November is a great time to visit some remarkable historical sites among other attractions such as the Bang Bao Fishing Village, where you will find great accommodation at the Bang Bao Cliff Cottages, excellent seafood restaurants and breathtaking views. This family-owned resort is located beautifully in a cove within Ko Chang National Park and is surrounded by wonderful natural attractions. Bang Bao Beach is situated on the far southwestern tip of the island. Nowadays, tourism has replaced fishing as the area's main economic activityhe stilted houses are transformed into quaint accommodations and the fishing boats now used for boat trips. Bang Bao is Ko Chang's main departure point for boat trips, including cruises and diving excursions to enjoy the 29°C-warm sea water. The old pier is a major attraction; the beach is found a short distance south of the village.

The restaurant at Little Eden Bungalows is a suggested place to go for traditional Thai food as well as international specialties. It's open from 7.30 am through 9 pm. It is a particularly wonderful place to go for breakfastry their tomato and cheese omelette, or their beans on toast with fried eggs, or, after a night out, the Thai hangover breakfast. Various types of coffee are served as well.
