Historically, July 25 is also the clearest day of the entire year. The July skies are overcast only 1% of the time. There are virtually no clouds and this results, obviously, in lots of sunshine.
July receives eleven glorious hours of sunshine per day, the highest amount of the year, a statistic that is, again, shared with August.

If you want to spend time sunbathing, swimming and doing other kinds of water sports, this is the time to go and place to be. However, if you're uncomfortable in large crowds, it may be best to go in either June or September, when the weather is still very pleasant, but the summer crowds are gone.
