Icmeler, pronounced in English as ‘each-mell-er’, is a popular tourist resort on Turkey’s southwest Mediterranean coast. It’s just 8km from the well-known tourist town of Marmaris. Once a small fishing village, the town has grown thanks to the tourist trade with visitors attracted by water sports such as scuba diving and water-skiing as well the beauty and great climate of the region.Situated in the south-east corner of Europe, Icmeler enjoys a typically Mediterranean climate meaning long hot dry summers and mild wet winters. The warm surrounding seas help to regulate this excellent climate; sea temperature varies between 16°C and 25°C.

In March daily highs begin to climb into the low teens as the cool winter weather disappears. April and May are warm and dry. By May it can really feel as though summer has begun with temperatures frequently entering the 20s and an average of 9 sunshine hours per day.
