    Berlin Weather for July 2022

What's the weather like in Berlin in July

Berlin has a very active sport and fitness scene, having played host to numerous world sporting events like the Summer Olympics and FIFA World Cup. The city is also the site of BMX, beach volleyball and many other athletic events and championships. July is a great month to get out and enjoy outdoor active pursuits, with fantastic temperatures and moderate rainfall.

    Temperature

The average daily temperature for this part of Western Europe reaches its highest for the year, topping out at 18°C (about 64°F). It shares the title of hottest month with August, which both have the same average and high temperatures. Oddly enough, the temperatures are warmer in the city than in the very close town of Grunheide due to the warming effects of the urban setting. The buildings, roads and other structures create an insulating effect that keeps Berlin warmer than the surrounding areas.

In the evening and early morning hours, the lows drop to 13°C (about 55°F), offering a respite from the heat of the day. Depending on your tolerance for the cold, you might still want a light jacket or sweater if you'll be out and about during these colder times of the day. The highs for this time of the year get up to 23°C (around 73°F), near perfect temperatures. The humidity also increases at this time of the year, but thankfully stays within a comfortable range.

    Sunshine Hours

The days stay long this month, with over 10 hours of sunshine each day.

    Rainfall

Compared to the July's rainfall, amounts decrease this month, down to 45 mm. That amount comes over 14 days, so you'll probably have more rainy days than you'll have dry days during the month. The chance of rain on any given day is 40 percent, so have that umbrella handy and check the local forecast before you head out each day.
