Bahia Feliz Weather June Averages, Canary Islands
Rising temperatures, very little rain and lots of sunshine characterise Bahia Feliz's weather during June. The entire island of Gran Canaria is experiencing warmer temperatures and welcoming summer, and Bahia Feliz's location on the island's southern side is perfect for outdoor activities both day and night.

Located a mere 5 minute walk from the beach Apartment Club MonteMar is a fantastic option as the summer weather begins in June. The Apartment Club MonteMar is situated about 20 minutes walking from the centre of Bahia Feliz, but the temperate June weather ensures this is an enjoyable stroll along the coast. The apartments are located amongst a serene garden, where the careful owners are creating their own green oasis in Bahia Feliz.
The Apartmentos Tres Vidas are another great apartment option located in San Agustin, which is a stone's throw from central Bahia Feliz. The sprawling complex is situated on a hillside directly above the blue Atlantic Ocean, and nearly every unit has views of the water. The individual apartments offers families some additional space to relax, as each has a terrace or balcony, a kitchenette, sunbeds, TV, telephone, refrigerator and private bathroom. On the resort grounds are also three swimming pools, two are for adults only, several restaurants and bars and opportunities for renting aquatic sports equipment.
Also located in San Agustin, guests at the Apartments Sunsuites Carolina can make the short walk to central Bahia Feliz without much trouble. The apartments are located in a traditional Spanish style building, which is situated on grounds right on the ocean. The Sunsuites Carolina is fantastic because nearly every apartment faces the private swimming pool and ocean. So, while located in central San Agustin, this pretty, little place can feel miles away.
What to Do
The Corpus Christi religious festival takes place across the Canary Islands during late May and early June. This is a celebration of colour and beauty, as cities across the island decorate the streets with colourful carpets, flowers and sometimes dyed salt. The town's most popular for Corpus Christi celebrations are located in the centre of Gran Canaria, but are simply an hour's drive from Bahia Feliz; a worthwhile day trip for those visiting at the start of June.
Bahia Feliz is a great location for windsurfing in the summer half-year due to frequent sea breezes, though the beaches fall steeply into the water and are not suitable for small children. These frequent sea breezes around the coastline are due to the land being warm relative to the sea, and near Playa del Ingles to the west, the Surf Canaries Surf School offers a wide range of surfing classes and trips.
Hit the Beach
The name Bahia Feliz translates to "Happy Bay," and that is certainly the attitude of the locals in this coastal resort. Located north and east of the busier Playa del Ingles, the beach at Bahia Feliz is often windy and quickly drops off into the water. For these reasons, many visitors find the beach unsuitable for small children or those uncomfortable with swimming. However, it is nearly always sunny, and you are likely to find a quiet place on the sand.
Where to Eat & Drink
When it comes to dinning in quiet Bahia Feliz, one of the best options is La Ternera Loca. This spacious restaurant serves quality food for a reasonable price. There is a section dedicated to children, where they can play while food is prepared. Given the limited number of restaurants in the Bahia Feliz resort, this is a low-key option that keeps the entire family happy.
Some visitors may want more nightlife excitement and options than are available in quaint Bahia Feliz. A night out at the Yumbo Centre in busier Playa del Ingles is the perfect place. There are more than 200 shops and bars within the open-air complex, and draws tourists from across southern Gran Canaria on a nightly basis. In addition, the Yumbo Centre is often used as a gathering place and event space for celebrations such as Carnival and Maspalomas Gay Pride.
Mystique Bar is likely the top cocktail bar in the area, with reasonable prices and a relaxed environment, it is especially popular in the summer months. Alternatively, Wunderbar is the place to end up after a big night out. It will not be busy until late, but with theme nights such as "Eurovision-Night" every Monday and Friday and the popular "Retro-Night" on Saturdays, it is worth staying awake for.
