Weather
The weather was perfect for me, I am fair skinned and went in November, I did n't burn wore sleeveless tops all the time, night time got a bit chilly but a cardigan or shawl was enough.
Holiday
I loved every minute of my holiday, the hotel was adequate, it was 20 yards from the beach, which was beautiful.
Places Recommended
I have only been once. For an economy holiday I stayed in Alanya at the Kleopatra Ade Beach Hotel.

No places of interest in Alanya. It is a boring new town with thousands of concrete blocks being thrown up on what were beautiful banana fields. The building goes on during the summer, so beware you're not in an area where the noise dust and calamity of Turkish building is going on. The shops (even those next door to each other) sell the same old pathetic t-shirts with stupid slogans on them. The restaurants rarely serve vegetables, just salad (God help you if you don't like tomatoes!), and they're not cheap! The Turks are not animal people and you will see how badly the street animals are treated. There's a man who walks a poor mother camel and her calf all day everyday, in searing heat - to and from Alanya to Kargicak. There's another man who has a beautiful wild monkey on a lead (the sad little thing is in a nappy).
Poor Dolphins are kept in a tiny tank, the only exercise they get is when they HAVE to perform. People mauling them - so disgusting. Some shop-keepers have birds in tiny cages to attract customers (even wild birds, terrified of being caged). If the building doesn't stop and if some kind of order isn't introduced (particularly on the roads), then the reason people went there on holiday in the first place will have gone!
Do not go there if you want peace and quiet. It's noisy, rowdy and targets young people and former eastern bloc tourists (Russia, Bulgaria etc.). I bet this review will NOT be approved. Only the positive reviews get approval.

Weather
Great, approximately 22 to 30 degrees a day, only one shower over the fortnight, which happen to be later ion the day so didn't impact on any tours.
Holiday
Fantastic, there is a very comapoliton feel to the area. without the religion impacting to much on visitors. There was no hussle and bussle of shop keepers dragging you in, like in some parts.
Places Recommended
Alanya harbour is a lovely place to sit and watch the world go by. Went to Dim Shi dam on our bikes, the there is loads to do on the way up centred around the river, sunbeds in the water, water very cold though. The castle is very interesting and quaint, Cleopatra beech is great.

Weather
We have been to Alanya Oba region for the last 7 years and have been there in May, June, July and October and I have to say that June was the nicest weather as it was just perfect.
Holiday
For the last 7 years we have had great Holidays.
There is so much to do and see, I cannot wait to go back.
It is a beautiful place, the food is really good and the people are so friendly.
It is very family orientated and I would highly recommend Alanya.
Places Recommended
Go to Gold City as it's fabulous.
Hire a car and go sightseeing.
I would recommend Dimcay as it's a really good day out.
La Luna is a really good restaurant in Alanya down by the harbor and if you are in Oba you must go to the BIZ Restaurant as it's the best food in Alanya.

Weather
The weather was great: we only had one day of rain out of the 14 days, lovely and warm.
Holiday
I am 75 years old and went to Alanya twice last year. We enjoyed it so much we are now going again on 4/10/12.
We love the people and the place; it is such a change to get on a bus and have younger people get up and offer you their seats.
We found most of Alanya to be to be flat and easy for us O.A.P.s to walk around.
The bus service is excellent.
Places Recommended
The river boat trips, the water falls and the castle.

Armacao de Pera weather was great, we had some thunder, we had some rain and it was very hot. I love the weather as it was normal, just right for a perfect holiday.
Holiday
It was very peaceful. No night life, just silent empty streets and street lights glowing. The beach was always close no matter day or night its still amazing to go to the beach. At night the stars and the moon reflected in the ocean and it just looks amazing.

Weather
Fantastic weather, I have been in June, July, September and October and the weather has always been fantastic. It does cool off slightly at night in September and October but it's not a problem.
Holiday
I have been going to Alanya since 2002 and have been every year.
I have stayed in self catering apartments and also in various different hotels Bed & Breakfast.
I suppose the best hotel was the Gardenia, which is right opposite Cleopatra Beach and the views from the Dining area are fantastic.
If you are looking for a cheaper hotel then the Miray Hotel is great, very basic but very clean.
Places Recommended
You definately have to visit the Castle, it is absolutely stunning when you reach the top and look out over Alanya towards the harbour one side and Cleopatra beach the other.
If its the beach you want then you won't go wrong. If you go to Cleopatra beach make sure that you go to beach number 6 as its the best area.
There are plenty of restaurants and places to eat and if you get a chance to go to the local market which is held once a week go.
Most importantly don't forget to have a Turkish Bath it is an experience.

Weather
Went last week may and weather fantastic. 30 deg every day. Also been beginning Sept and still 30 degs. The evenings are still very hot, found it best to eat after about 9 pm.
Holiday
Have been to Alanya 14 time now, so quite like the place! People are very friendly and go out of their way to help. Only slight downside is that they all want you to eat in their restaurants. If you want boat trips/jeep safari dont book it through agents, Go to the harbour and get it half the price. Have stayed at the My Aytap, Parador apartments and this year at the Parador hotel. No complaints about any of them. Food is excellent. Try the Turkish Cuisine. Going again twice next year!
Places Recommended
The harbour is stunning at night. Many of the Turkish people go there in the evenings. Also if you want a warm welcome go to the Happy Bar, run by Nesmet and his brothers.

I have been many times to Alanya, the more you go the better you like it. Weather is good in April about 70f June is perfect also September.
Holiday
In general very good, people do not pester you like they do in other parts of
Turkey to go in there restaurant. The harbour of an evening is really good. Go to Queens garden of a night its great and good food. Flash food is the best in Alanya. Mitos in Oba is a good laugh.
Places Recommended
Dim Cay, Monday market in Oba Alanya and Menagat Falls, also Quad bikes.

Weather
Very hot everyday without clouds! Turkish weather is just the best if you like hot and get tanned fast :)
Holiday
I have been bored, resort of Alanya was full of Dutch and German holidaymakers, restaurant weren't traditional but more European and night life wasn't good too, beach called Cleaopatra beach is very dangerous of sleazy green stones where you can fall down and waves are huge, not good for non-swimmers.
But water very blue/turquoise even sometimes you can find some rubbish.
Places Recommended
Restaurant with fresh fish about 20 minutes from Alanya called Dimsay where you sit on water and still can swim and there is also beautiful waterfall :) This place was beautiful as you can be there for whole day :)

Weather
The weather was hitting 34C in late June, lows of 21C at night. I would recommend air con if at all possible. Did not see any clouds in the sky for the two weeks.
Holiday
Very relaxing and lively. Great place for 18-30 year olds as the nightlife is like
Majorca and any lively spanish resort.
Places Recommended
Dim Cay, White water rafting, harbour during the day. Mamhutler for Irish tourists. Also bring some insect repellent as there are mossies around.
