Apparently it was quite wet (i.e. no snow) before I arrived; however I had snow for each of the 5 days that I had planned to ski. It was wonderful to be able to walk in the snow covered streets amongst the twinkling light bejewelled trees.Holiday
I had to mix and match between Voss ski slopes and Myrkdalen ski slopes depending on the weather forecast for each day, They were a stunningly scenic 40 minute bus journey apart .Some items in Norway can be phenomenally expensive. I have never drunk as much tap water as I did when in Norway. I cooked my own evening meal in the hotel like hostel where I was staying.
And asked permission to make up sandwiches each day from the amazing breakfast smorgasbord.
Ski hire and travel were very reasonable (to extend my comprehensive ski equipment hire from 4 days to 5 days cost £10.00 )

The worlds steepest mountain railway line is close by in Flam. as is the worlds longest tunnel.Myrkdalen has Europes highest snowfall.
