April was fab sunny 28c and on occasion a shower mainly late afternoon lasts 1hr max in 21 days

Holiday

Been going for 5 years now, stay in Mammee Bay Villas for 3wks each time and never had any trouble we walk up to Steer town (a long way) shop in St Anns and the town market and although they want to sell you something you just say no and move on like anywhere, have made life long friends,but trouble is hotels dont want you to go out, we have been told this numerous times.

The Blue Mountain and Dunns River Falls is great but we all felt not safe to venture our alone and we were discouraged from doing so. Very restrictive .

Holiday

Restictive and not a holiday if you like your freedom. walking to places is not an option. Arranged tours are a definite advantage or you will go stir crazy. Food is okay as long as you learn to love jerk chicken

THE WEATHER WAS FANTASTIC ONLY RAINED TWICE AND THAT WAS AT NIGHT THE THUNDER AND LIGHTING WAS AMAZING TO WATCH FROM OUR BALCONY AT THE HOTEL JAMAICA GRAND. EVERYONE WAS FRIENDLY AND COULD NOT DO ENOUGH FOR YOU THEY JUST LOVE CHILDREN .WENT WITH HUBBY,GRANDAUGHTERS AGE 6 + 7MTHS,DAUGHTER AND FUTURE SON-IN-LAW ( WHO GOT MARRIED IN JAMAICA 2ND SEPT).THE HOTEL ITS SELF WAS HUGE PLENTY OF ROOM TO LAZE AROUND AND NEVER ENDING DAY TIME ENTERTAINMENT AROUND THE POOL WHERE EVERY NATIONALITY JOINED IN.BRILL KIDS CLUB FROM 10-10,8YR OLD LOVED IT LOOKED AFTER WELL.FOOD OVERALL WAS GOOD SOMETHING EVERY DAY THAT YOU COULD EAT.BEECH BEAUTIFUL CLEAR BLUE SEA AND WHITE SAND, AND FRIENDLY SECURITY GUARDS WHO PATROLLED THE BEECH.LATE NIGHT HOT FOOD AVAILABLE,ENTERTAINMENT WATCHABLE SOME BETTER THAN OTHERS.

FANTASTIC MAY HAVE BEEN A BIT MORE FORTUNUTE THAN MOST PEOPLE WITH SON-IN-LAW BEING JAMAICAN TOOK US ALL OVER THE ISLAND AND NEVER FELT THREATENED ONCE. FALLS + BOB MARLEY RECOMMENDED LOVELY JERK CHICKEN RESTURANT 10MINS FROM OCHO TAKE A WALK INTO OCHO TOWN WELL WORTH A VISIT ALSO TO THE LOCAL MARKETS TURN LEFT OUT OF THE MAIN STRECH FROM THE HOTEL

The weather was great it rained for 3 hrs on the first Friday and the rest of our 2 weeks holiday was mostly sunshine there was a little cloud some days but nothing to stop us soaking up the rays

we stayed at the Sunset Jamaica Grand and it was realy good the rooms were spotless the food was good especialy the fusion restraunt the chinese was also very good but the italian was very poor good clean beach but to much seaweed in the sea we did not like the entertainment it was to loud you cant please everyone we sat in lobby bar (best bar in the hotel) and we made our own entertainment we WILL be going back we Loved it
