Weather in Miami these days is very hot and humid (2011). We just started June and temperatures are reaching the 90%u2019s here, bring a lot of sunscreen and a fashionable hat for the beach (or any hat that would protect your skin if your not planning to be under an umbrella).

Holiday

When in Miami avoid restaurants on Ocean Drive they are a tourist trap (pricey and the food quality is horrible). We have great restaurants at the Design District/Coral Gables/Brickell Avenue.

If you don%u2019t want to leave the beach the best places to spend your money would be at the hotel restaurants, they have good food for the same prices you would be paying in Ocean Drive. Lincoln and Alton Rd have also plenty of places to eat and nice shops.

Weather

We were in Miami, during the 2nd week of February 2009, having travelled down from Orlando.

The weather was superb, temps were in the high 70's,somedays hitting 82-83 degreess with long periods of sunny clear weather.

The water temperature at Sunny Isles was about 74 degrees.

It seemed warmer than the med in early summer. We had a week of dry sunny weather with no rain at all. Himidity was also low.

Holiday

Miami is a fine holiday destination. There is something for everybody, young or old. Great beaches, shops and resturants.

Eating out is dirt cheap, with a huge choice. Have a day at Bal Harbour and take a boat trip around the homes of the rich and famous ( about $20 ).

If your in a hire car, buy a good map, its well worth it.

There's lots of night life if you want it, ranging from cheap sleazy dives, to 5 star top notch night clubs,( I'm not into night life, hense the low rating), but I'm sure clubbers will love Miami.

Florida Keys ( about 1.5 hrs drive - superb)
Everglades, Easy drive, escape from the crowds.
Take an escorted trip of the city in a taxi ( about $35 ) a great way to see ALL the sights

Weather

It was cloudy for about 6 days days but nice and sunny on the other 4. It was warm but a little windy on the cloudy days but we still got tanned.

Holiday

Amazing!!! A trip of a lifetime. Everything about the place was a dream except the prices!! they were a nightmare.

Mansion nightclub, skydiving and a trip on the everglades on an airboat.
