Weather

Fabulous weather. Just one (heavy) thunderstorm but amazing in itself and didn't last or spoil even 1/2 a day.

Temps in early-mid 30s, more than I had expected and very hot in the main part of the day, although slight breezes - nice.

Holiday

Fabulous holiday. From wonderful villa to fabulous locals who really are the most friendly people you could meet.

Very relaxing, people watch at the harbour in Vathy, hire a small boat, eat in simple but good tavernas. Talk to the sailing crowd, who were also friendly.

The ferry service to Lefkada is very good and good value (but I would stay put in high season).

Places Recommended

Papanikolis cave (and others) - but go early to avoid the big cruise boats.
Agios Nikolas church.
Lovely peaceful and deserted coves.
Vathy harbour especially evening and Sunday morning listening to song from the church.

Each time I have been to Meganissi (summer months) Weather has been gorgeous, typical greek climate - hot!

Holiday

Very peaceful and relaxing get away, very friendly locals and fabulous food in all the tavernas we visited!
Would recommend this unspoilt island for holiday makers wanting to get away from the tourist trap and escape the everyday rat race.

Places Recommended

Stavros' taverna is the best place to eat - watch the floatillas come in and people watch from the side of the harbour.
