Venice Beach

Fishing with Dynamite

Fishing with Dynamite is an intimate dining venue in Manhattan Beach that only seats 35 people. In spite of its small size, Fishing with Dynamite was named one of Los Angeles' 10 best new restaurants by Los Angeles Magazine. The restaurant serves amazing seafood dishes for weekend brunch, lunch and dinner and also has a raw bar.

Following the traditional Japanese cooking traditions of kaiseki, n/naka in Los Angeles serves fresh, seasonal ingredients in its Japanese-inspired dishes. Reservations are required and the menu changes frequently to reflect what's in season. A typical dinner menu includes 13 courses. 

Things to do in Los Angeles in January

Tournament of Roses Parade

Come January, the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena is a must-do. The parade takes place on New Years Day every year. Nearly a million people come together to watch the traditional parade with marching bands and floats decorated with flowers, to celebrate that afternoon's Rose Bowl Game.

The Martin Luther King Parade

The Martin Luther King Parade is held the third Monday of January every year, the same day as the national holiday that honors the assassinated civil rights leader, Martin Luther King Jr.

Chinese Theatre

A trip to Los Angeles is not complete without seeing the famed Chinese Theater. An actual working theater, the Chinese Theater has the world's largest IMAX auditorium and is home to numerous movie premiers and red carpet openings. Just outside the theater, see the foot and hand prints of Hollywood legends like Marilyn Monroe and Frank Sinatra and literally follow in their footsteps.
