It was the holiday of a lifetime; filled with interactions with wonderful local people. I hiked with my daughter from Cape Soya to Hakodate. We had so many adventures and met with so much generosity from local people that I think Hokkaido people must be the the friendlest people in the world.Places Recommended
Rebun, for traditional fishing village feel.Furano, for bike hire and cycling around the vibrantly coloured fields.
Hakodate, for a look around an historic city next to the sea and for a brilliant festival in early Autumn.
