Kalamitsi Beach

If you are looking for a peaceful beach head to the coved Kalamitsi Beach. With its calm waters this has become a hot spot for water sports. The area near the beach is developed and you will find loads of restaurants, beach bars, sun beds, umbrellas as well as other facilities. This is also one of the best and most well-known diving spots in the Halkidiki region.

For some delicious Greek dishes and fresh seafood head to Stamnagathi. This taverna is located near the beach and has a dining area in a large garden for al fresco meals. A couple of tasty choices from the menu include a veal chop and fresh sea bass. They also have take away available, but if you dine in (well, out) you'll catch the beautiful sunset.

Circuit Rent

Mount Athos

While in the Halkidiki region, make your way to Mount Athos. This has been an orthodox spiritual centre since 1054. It's also known as the Holy Mountain, today it is home to over 2,000 monks that practice prayers and fulfil their spiritual needs under the same methods practiced many years ago. The island that Mount Athos is situated on is self-governing and doesn't allow women. Men are able to visit but require advance notice and a visa.
