  • The only place we have ever kept wanting to go back to.

    Review by: Chris & Jacki

    Weather

The weather was lovely and sunny all the time we were there.

After the first week you start to feel a bit cooler at night because you have got acclimatised.

    Holiday

We have been 4 times now, in both February and November.

First time we went we had all inclusive but now we go self catering as it is so cheap to eat and the food is fresh cooked as you want it.

The people are so helpful and friendly, with good memories.

We missed going for 18 months but they still remembered our names when we went back.

Going for a month in February 2010 and can't wait.

We book the flights and accommodation separately and we have got a full month break for less the £2000 plus food.

  • Our Annual Holiday In Goa.

    Review by: Keith Dale

    Weather

We normally go in late Feb early March, as we have done for the last six years, the weather is always hot.

Wall to wall sunshine, though towards the end you notice the humidity rising.

    Holiday

We always arrange our own accommodation and flights separately. This gives us a chance to do what we like, eat when we want etc.

The self catering suits us. The food is so cheap.

You can't beat getting up early one morning taking a long walk on the beach then having breakfast at one of the many beach shacks just watching sea.

We normally stay in South Goa in a resort called Calvalusom.

    Review by: Anonymous

    Weather

Weather was really hot between 40 and 49 degrees everyday. They were having a heat wave at the time though.
    Night time was humid.

    Holiday

Holiday was amazing the best we have ever had.
The beaches the markets the people the food the nightlife the day trips the taxi drivers everything about Goa is truly amazing.
When you arrive just forget the first things you see and ignore all beggars you will get hassled by them.
Hotel was very very clean and tidy.
Staff there were truly amazing and were so happy to help in anyway they could.
I would have to recommend that you dont go ALL INCLUSIVE as its way to cheap out there.
A bottle of beer roughly £0.45 and a 3 course meal for 2 with roughly 2 cocktails and 4 beers is about £15.
We stayed at the Sun Village Hotel Baga.

  • Holidays in Goa

    Review by: Ian And Carron

    Weather

The weather in Goa is second to none,Especially between October/November through till March. If you are thinking of going in April, again it's very hot but very humid.

    Holiday

The first time we visited Goa was back march 2004, we have been 5 times since then and and just booked for the 22nd of November, We were told to go their with an open mind by some friends that go for 6 months each year. They told us we would love the place or hate it, At first it's a culture shock, But we loved it and as we said we have been several times. we would recommend it to anyone. try the different foods, and visit the public bar in calangute. Very cheap and very friendly.

    Weather

The weather in November last year 2007 was a bit touch and go earlier in the month but as the hloiday panned out it turned to be very hot.
I agree with other reveiws I have read I have been returning to Goa every year for about 7 years and the population status has risen a tremendous amount due to the cheap living and nice weather but i would still recommend going to Goa to anybody wanting a nice warm holiday.

    Holiday

The last time I went to Goa I spent a day at Dona Paula and would reccomend that place to everybody I also went round the temples in old Goa and that also was very good, I would reccomend anybody to take a trip to Morjim Beach A little way from the hustle and bustle of Calangute life lol

  • Holidays in a changing Goa

    Review by: Chris Proudlove

    Weather

Weather excellent, although unusual for March, we did experience a few downfalls of rain - but early morning. Normally rain not seen at all at this time of year.
Never thought I would say this, but not sure I would recommend Goa any more as it has changed so much. It is about the people, but the popularity of it has resulted in an inability to cope with cleanliness and maintenance.

    Holiday

We have visited Goa for last 10 years - sometimes twice a year. We have noticed the changes over the years - Candolim retains the quieter more tranquil touches, whilst Baga/Calangute have become more Spanish resort influenced. This year, the impact of police activity has meant the shacks are limited on their bed allowance. In November when we visited, the shacks at Baga/Calangute did not have licences, so limited service. In Candolim they waited for licences to be issued so construction and service not in operation. We would not visit November again until confident resolved. There is no option for Not Sure on the "would you recommend" option - so have conservatively gone with Yes.

    Weather

Fantastic. Sunny for fourteen days. Ave Temp 31c. Be very careful. This is not the Med, you will burn to a crisp if you do too much on the first couple of days.

    Holiday

You could not wish for nicer people, Tropical beaches, wonderful food and very very cheap. Hotel very good but do not go below 3 star plus. If you are looking for lots of nightlife forget it. There are some clubs in Calengute but not many. This is a chill out holiday.
