Disneyworld Weather November Averages, USA
November is one of the best months out of the whole year to visit Walt Disney World as the humidity and heat are starting to decrease but it's still hot enough to bring your shorts and t-shirts along with you. The average temperature in November is 20°C, but it can reach a scorching 25°C on a hot day, whilst most evenings are cool and the temperature can fall to 14°C, so it's best to bring a lightweight jacket if you plan to go out in the evenings. November is also the best month out of the year for rainfall as Disney World only receives on average around 48mm of rainfall throughout the whole month. The amount of sunshine hours aren't too bad either at around eight hours on average per day.
This is a superb time of year to visit Disney World as the crowds are generally low to moderate throughout the month, so you won't have to worry about the long queues. However, the last week of November can get rather busy due to Thanksgiving on November 28th, which is a national holiday in the United States.
Things to do
Disney's Animal Kingdom is the biggest out of the four theme parks at Disney World and is dedicated to wildlife, nature and conservation. This large park spreads across 500 acres and is home to over 1,700 animals from around the world. If you decide to spend the day here there are many attractions to choose from including The Boneyard, which is perfect for anyone who has an interest in dinosaurs and archeology. Or there's the Wildlife Express Train, a rustic African-style train that takes you behind the scenes of various animal housing and care centers.
Discover Epcot theme park, which spreads over a massive 300 acres of land. This place celebrates imagination and different cultures throughout the world. If you're little ones have ever dreamed of being an astronaut and love video games head to Mission: SPACE Advanced Training Lab, found in Epcot. This is an interactive play center featuring space themed computer games, with the opportunity to explore Mars! Or why not take a 16-minute ride through Spaceship Earth and step back into ancient Egypt and the Stone Age.
If you're a fan of basketball head to Old Spice Classic on November 12th at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and watch eight teams battle it out over three days to be crowned Old Spice Classic Champion. However, if you would rather take part in a sporting event go to the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend, which starts on November 9th. This epic marathon consists of three different marathons for all ages from runDisney Kids' Races to Mickey's Jingle Jungle 5K.
Although if you see yourself as more of a creative person head to the Festival of the Masters from November 8th to the 10th at Downtown Disney Westside. This large festival features work from some of the best artists in the country including photography and sculptures.
Time to celebrate
There's no better way to celebrate the holiday season than going to see The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights at Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park. Millions of bright lights are covered over the buildings, which flicker in time with the holiday music. This event runs from early November all the way through to January.
If that's not enough to get you into the Christmas spirit wander over to Holidays Around The World Candlelight Processional at the America Gardens Theatre in Epcot International theme park. Celebrate the traditions of Yuletide here complete with festive decorations and celebrity appearances.
Eating and drinking out
Restaurantosaurus is a Dinosaur and fossil-themed fast food restaurant located in Disney's Animal Kingdom. Choose from a selection of classic burgers, hot dogs, French fries and healthy salads and learn about the history of the young dinosaur scientists who set up the restaurant many years ago. However, if you are spending the day at Epcot it's highly recommended to try some authentic Japanese food such as sushi and stir-fry shellfish at the stylish Teppan Edo.
If you miss the food from back home try the Rose & Crown Pub & Dining Room in the United Kingdom Pavilion at Epcot theme park. For lunch or dinner tuck into some delicious fish and chips or bangers and mash and to top it all off, finish with a Sticky toffee pudding. A more expensive option would be the Akershus Royal Banquet Hall found at the Norway Pavilion. Try some traditional Norwegian meatballs or pan-seared salmon at this medieval castle- themed restaurant.
