The weather was mixed with some hot days with constant sunshine, other days were very overcast and one day with 4 hours constant rain.Holiday
Cascais retain a strong Portuguese flavour with winding narrow streets, good shopping and some excellent restaurants. although some of those around the square very commercialised and overpriced. The beach is not wonderful unless you walk along the coastal promenade towards Estoril for about 15 minutes then there is an improvement. The train service to Lisbon is scenic and only takes 40 minutes. It is also very cheap. Another must to visit is Sintra where you can catch the local hourly bus service, We stayed at Vila Gale Hotel which was large modern hotel about a 15 minute walk to the centre. The hotel was best described as average.Places Recommended
Lisbon and Sintra. Also worth going to the casino at Estoril for the experience as it is one of the biggest in Europe.Recommend Cascais to others
