Weather
The weather was near enough perfect for us, it was very hot the entire duration of the holiday, but it wasn't humid, so the weather was quite comfortable.
Holiday
During our holiday we spent a lot of time at the various baths and loved it. We managed to watch some shows at the theatre, ex Opera Gala, Danube opperetta cruise and My Fair Lady in an open air theatre. Very enjoyable. Stayed out of the main tourist district and got the true feel of the country. Absolutely loved it.
Places Recommended
Loved visiting Eger, Hajduszoboszlo, and the many wine cellars.

Weather
We had an unusual front come in for our stay in Budapest. While the temperatures were in the 30's, the wind chill made it bone chilling. On the day we walked to our river cruise from our rental (three blocks), it was so windy we were literally blown away! We went to the baths on our first freezing day, and it was fabulous. So awesome to be in this giant bathtub while the winds howled. This was an unusual weather happening, I'm sure. In spite of having to bundle up like we were in the north pole, we had a fabulous time and would definitely go again to christmas markets there.
Holiday
We were in Budapest for 4 nights. As stated above, the weather was less than optimal, but that did nothing to dampen our spirits. We were happy it wasn't raining, and we enjoyed being in the city during the holidays. Everything was beautiful. we did lots of walking, and found the city easy to navigate. The baths were fabulous. So relaxing! We enjoyed the markets and eating the local food and enjoying the hot mulled wine. Walking across the Chain Bridge and taking the Funicular up to the Fisherman's Bastion is a must. Also the night time cruise that was included in our hop on hop off bus ticket was very beautiful . The lights were amazing. The Parlament Building lit up at night is breathtaking. Budapest is way up there on my favorite cities in the world list. It is amazing!

Weather
I have been in winter time - very cold but snowy scenery made it great.
I have also been in summertime and it is very hot.
Spring and Autumn are great if you don't like extreme temperatures.
Holiday
The markets and shops outside of the tourist area (Vaci Ut) are best and really great if you try a little of the language and cuisine.
Places Recommended
The large market (nagycsarnok),
the baths in the park (szechennyi),
the bars (Instant, szimpla and kerplung),
The small local markets dotted around,
Kiraly Ut - parallel to Andrassi Kiraly is much better.
St Stephens basilica - brilliant place,
The Christmas Markets are phenomenal.
Try the Mulled wine and sugar coated doughnut cones

Weather
We went to Budapest last January. It was freezing with huge chunks of ice floating down the danube. -13c some days and during nights, but the beauty of the place more than made up for it.
Holiday
It was lovely. A beautiful city to visit and the food was delicous. :) We stayed in Side Inn which was a B & B in an old house. The room was huge and very, very clean and comfortable and the people who ran it were very helpful. We are going back in September, we just hope the weather is slightly warmer. :)
Places Recommended
All of it, as everything was great.
