These apartments are located a little out of Amadores, in a very quiet area, but are a good base for those who want to explore everything the area has to offer, and the surrounding resorts as well. Amadores Beach
The sunniest month of the year sees visitors flocking to Amadores beach, a stretch of golden sand which offers plentiful rest and relaxation opportunities in the baking sun. This particular beach is great for families, due to the calm waters, and facilities are plentiful, with showers, bars, restaurants, and plentiful sun-beds.
Due to its central nature in Amadores, you don't have to walk too far as the temperatures start to rise, and you can enjoy a cool down in the clear waters that lap the shore.

Peak summer season means fun, fun, fun! Get your gladrags on and head to Puerto Rico in a taxi, which should only take 10 minutes, and prepare for a night of neon-lit fun. Snoopy Disco Pub is a fun choice, with dancing until the early hours, cocktails and cheap drinks to enjoy.
Dicey Reilly's Irish Bar
Dicey Reilly's Irish Bar is another top choice, with a laid-back, friendly atmosphere, typical of an Irish bar in the Canary Islands!
Wig Wam
Wig Wam is also somewhere many people flock to when visiting this area, with friendly staff, music, and somewhere you can sit and chill with a few drinks, decorated in native American Indian style.
Things to do in Amadores in July
Fiesta del Carmen
The sunniest month of the year brings plenty of activities to enjoy, including the Fiesta del Carmen, a fun celebration, with plenty of festivities held in Las Palmas, and Puerto del Mogan. The Virgen del Carmen is the patron saint of fishermen, and this is why you will see statues all around towns and villages, and these are also taken out to sea in a procession of decorated boats, to mark the occasion. It's quite the sight to witness, so if you do manage to see it, take plenty of photos.
Fishing
Fishing is a very popular and important sport around this part of the world, and July and August are host to marlin fishing tournaments. If you fancy trying to land yourself one of these huge fish, then you will find charter fishing trips at Puerto Rico, with Cavalier Fishing Charters highly recommended.
Spirit of the Sea
If you prefer to spot wildlife from the comfort of a boat without getting your hands wet then dolphin and whale spotting trips are always popular in this part of the world, and whilst you're by no means guaranteed, the likelihood in Gran Canaria is quite high compared to other places. Puerto Rico has many charter trips heading off daily, and Spirit of the Sea is a very popular trip.
Angry Birds Activity Park
For on-land fun, Angry Birds Activity Park in Puerto Rico is a good spot to tire the kids out at the end of the day, based on the popular game, and this is a small activity park where adults can sit and relax too.
Cactualdea Park
Aside from that, anyone into nature will enjoy an afternoon at Cactualdea Park, located in San Nicolas, which is about 8 miles from Amadores. This is a fun, outdoor ranch, with gardens featuring over 1200 different types of cacti. For a peaceful walk around in countryside scenery, this is a pretty choice. You could even stop off in San Nicolas on the way back, and visit the historic old quarter, with plenty of attractive architecture to check out.
