Weather
We went for 17 days at the end of August in 2012.The weather was fantastic with only a couple of cloudy days, but over 30 degrees Celsius each day.
Holiday
We stayed at Hacienda Requielme, a Polaris world golf resort.Don't play golf, just loved the idea of the 19 pools.
Sucina is the nearest town, about 1 - 2 miles away.
Need to hire a car though, no downfall as the roads are not busy at all.
Landed at Murcia airport without husband, with 3 kids, collected by car hire company, given car keys, 20 mins later in a 5 star resort.
The place is very quiet at night, which was what I wanted.
You could drive to the tourist tack if you wanted (about 20 mins away), but for me with 3 children, this was perfect.
So perfect that I have booked again (different apartment) for 4 weeks this summer.
Places Recommended
Salt Lakes, where you can see the flamingos.Los Alcazares, fantastic restaurants and a beach where you can see the planes landing.
Really there are too many places to visit in this area, including a water park within 30 mins drive.
