We arrived on a beauitful clear sunny day and it reminded me of a miniature Trossachs in Scotland, only not as bristly and rough!
Holiday
Best holiday spent in England, truly the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales and beyond.
The market runs every Saturday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday which is well worth a visit.
Be careful on the old fashioned cobbled High Street, not good for cat to bar shoes!!

Very wet. Good for ducks. The highest it got was about 13 degrees, and it rained or drizzled every day.
Holiday
Amazing but it rained a LOT! The castle is an amazing sight to see, and SO good for children. However, the market was disappointing, and we got mobbed by several manic seagulls after our chips from busy lizzies. That was good, and so was the canal, and we fed the ducks quite happily for several hours.

The castle and shake-a-mania, amazing creme egg milkshakes.
