Weather
The weather was very hot the entire time we was there. Wear linen clothes to keep as cool as possible. A bit dusty as it was the end of the dry season.
Holiday
The holiday was both relaxing and busy, we did plenty of sightseeing ad eating out. Great town/city in its own right, as well as being the base from which to visit the Angkor Temples. There was brilliant Asian Fusion food, clean restaurants and no upset tummies. When selecting a hotel beware as some of the larger hotels take big tour parties and are quite soulless. Cambodians are lovely people, rightly proud of their heritage but still, I think, a bit shell shocked after the events of the recent past. We felt very safe there. We will be going back.

Weather
Visited from 23rd August this year which was still considered part of the "rainy season". We were only there for 3 days before going on to Phuket. The first two days were very hot at 32 degrees and very humid, but very pleasant as due to the previous rainy days everything was very lush and green.
Holiday
We had a fantastic holiday, for 2 days we hired a MOTO and driver to take us everywhere. This is a motorised Tuk Tuk, very comfortable and took 3 of us with plenty of room. We spent both days visiting the Angkor Wat site and visiting the many temples and spending time exploring them all.
The driver would wait sometimes 2 to 3 hours until we came back and then take us on to the next one. We saw sunsets, truly remarkable and the sunrise at the Anghor Wat at 5.00am and found it all fascinating.
All it cost for the driver for the whole day was 15$, very cheap!

We also hired a taxi for the day and visited the Floating Forest, here a community of 2000 or more people live in houses on stilts on the river and make their living from fishing and selling their catches.
The taxi for the whole day was only 20$ plus the cost of a boat and driver which was 5$ each.
