Unfortunately there is limited seating at this establishment, so you may have to take your frozen dessert 'to go' but it's worth it to be able to enjoy such a delicious sweet treat.

Osti Matti

Osti Matti is a perfect spot to taste delicious, simple but honest Italian dishes such as tagliatelle and other pasta choices, as well as risotto, cheese and meat platters. For dessert, try a slice of their beautiful, homemade cakes!


When it comes to affordable food and drinks with a laid-back atmosphere, it doesn't get much better than Magnebevo. This small restaurant/bar opens at 7pm and kicks off with a happy hour and a small selection of food such as sandwiches, pastries, nachos, pasta dishes and calzones.

A top selection of drinks are available from behind the bar, including wine, beer, spirits, cocktails and soft drinks. The cocktails are fantastic here and add to the lively, hip atmosphere.

Stravinskij Bar

Stravinskij Bar inside the Hotel de Russie is one of the most exclusive establishments in Rome. Boasting a sophisticated atmosphere with elegant furnishings and a graceful décor, this bar is known for its cocktails, such as the Negrill and Castro Street, which are made by professional mixologists.

Things to do in Rome in October

Galleria Borghese

Art lovers won't want to miss the opportunity to visit the Galleria Borghese. Located in the stunning Borghese Park, this art gallery is full of sculptures, fountains and paintings which will leave you awe-struck.

Only so many people are allowed in at any one time, so buying tickets in advance is a must. You can choose to explore the Galleria Borghese on your own or sign up for a tour led by an experienced guide.

Palazzo Doria Pamphilj

After wandering around the Galleria Borghese, head on over to the Palazzo Doria Pamphilj for even more stunning artwork. This grand art/history museum is often compared to the Vatican, due to the quantity and quality of the sculptures, paintings, gardens and the general décor.

Kids will love the Rainbow MagicLand Theme Park in Valmontone, 20 minutes from the city. Here you can find rollercoasters, water rides, motorbike and stunt shows and arcades. Also, head over to the largest 5D video game ride, Huntik. This park is has excellent facilities as well as restaurants, bars and kiosks for snacks throughout the day.
