Hot and sunny in June and also in August. Ther e can be thunderstorms and rain in May

Holiday

Roda is a lovely large village in the north of the island, with plenty of places to eat and drink and lots of little shops. The Roda Park restaurant is the best for atmosphere and food, in my view.The sea bas s is fantastic. Oscars is great for after dinner entertainment. We have stayed in various accommodation over the past 17 years of staying in Roda, and think that the Metallinos Apartments and Paradise Village are the best, both on the main road out of Roda, so a bit quieter than the main street. Metallinos has the cleanest pool ever! Roda is a really friendly place, with enough going on for a relaxing holiday for couples and families.

We went on the 11th of June for 7 days and the weather was lovely; it was about 86 degrees all week

Holiday

Our holiday was perfect: we stayed at the Melinda Apartments the owners, Donny and Gayle, made you feel very welcome.

The apartments had everything you needed and were kept very clean. Anything you asked for was sorted out straight away.

The food was lovely and was cooked fresh as you ordered it, any time day or night.

It was only a five or ten minute walk to the beach and shops and the food served along the beach front was very good.

If you are looking for a quiet peaceful holiday this is the place for you.

We went on a trip to Parga and Paxos, which was very nice although you don't get enough time in Parga to look around the beautiful little streets, which is a shame as it's typically Greek and you get a feel for more of the Greek way of life. We also went on a water taxi all down the coastline at night to Old Corfu town; it was was well worth doing

Weather

I went to Roda in Corfu during the end of June 2010 with my family. It was very, very hot but had one day where the sun didn't appear at all. I would recommend having plenty of bug repellent as the place is surrounded by a lot of greenery.

Holiday

We stayed at Fiona Theodoros Apartments, they were ok apartments although we had to do a bit of DIY with the shower head and it could do with being modernised a bit. Very nice pool area with lots of sun loungers. There was also a nice bar with friendly staff who very quickly became our friends. Lots of lovely little gift shops and close by markets.

Mistral bar - lively and great staff.
