Christmas Season

Puerto Banus and Marbella offer a host of Christmas festivities for anyone visiting the Costa del Sol's famous marina for the holidays. The Christmas season lasts from the end of November and continue through the beginning of January. Events include parties, contests, concerts, the illumination of Christmas lights, the inauguration of the Marbella nativity scene, and the parade of the three kings.

New Years Eve

New Years Eve brings a spark of summer nightlife to the cooler winter. Seasonal clubs open for the night, allowing visitors to ring in the New Year with dancing, drinking, and socializing. If you want to truly embrace the Spanish culture, prepare yourself with grapes and red underwear. When the clock strikes midnight, you must eat one grape for each chime. At the end of a minute, all of your grapes must be eaten. It is also a tradition in Puerto Banus, as in the rest of Spain, to wear red underwear on this night of celebration. As you stroll the designer stores and chic boutiques along the marina, do not be surprised to see an excessive of red.

Casino Marbella

Another winter option while visiting Puerto banus is stopping by the port's only casino, Casino Marbella. It is attached to the Andaluca Plaza hotel and open every night. While you can find people gambling thousands of euros, there are plenty of tables for those visitors who do not wish to spend as much. You can spend the night playing blackjack, roulette, poker, Midi Punta Banco, or the slots and dine at the Casino Restaurant.
