Glorious, beautiful & HOT!

Karpathios Apartments (Pekfos) is up a 'slight' hill. I'm not keen on the hill but I just LOVE the views from the apartments. Absolutely stunning and breath-taking! And of course Ravi and Evelina are the best!
My holiday's in Pefkos are like going home - as soon as my coach or taxi pulls up at Karpathios, it's just the best feeling.
The people, the food, the sunshine, the atmosphere - you just soak it up and become a part of it.
I've just booked for the 10th year, which sounds ridiculous but I still get so excited about getting back there - If you've not been to Rhodes before, can I suggest you try Pefkos for you're first visit - you'll fall in love with it. ENJOY!!

This year will be our third time of returning to the beautiful Island of Rhodes and staying in Pefkos.
I have simply fallen in love with this beautiful place and if I only ever went to Pefkos for all holidays I would be eternally happy

Holiday

We always stay at either the Island Blue or the Thlassa Appartments through Thomson and cannot fault them.
The location is ideal only 5-10 mins up the road to the main street where there is too many good restaurants to name.
But if you are looking for exceptional food and quality for money then we would recommend you try Coralies which is located just outside the village - food is to die for and the family that run the place are so friendly and make each visit really special.
Cant wait to go back there this year !!

Take the glass bottom boat ride to Lindos - its certainly an experience and we do it every time we go.
Rhodes Old Town is also a beautiful place to walk round and explore.

weather was perfect. We go in late August/early September. Hot by day still and warm at night. Always pack too many clothes! Don't need half of them!

We will be returning to the Pefkos Village Resort this summer for the third time. (2011, 2012 and 2014) We love it there. The staff are great, friendly and helpful. Apartments are clean and well appointed. Pool is lovely and the food great too! Short walk to beach. 15 minute walk into the main resort for great choice of bars and tavernas. It is out of the way enough to be quiet through the day yet close enough to stroll out for evening meals and entertainment.
Main beach is shallow but sandy and cant get busy.

Rhodes old town and harbour.
Prasonisi Beach at the southern tip of the island where two seas meet. Couple of nice tavernas and huge spread of fine sand to walk on and watch the kite surfers and wind surfers at play!

The weather was gorgeous! Stayed at the Amfitriti 1st June for 10 days.

Daytime temp. averaged 28c every day and 23c night time!
Sea was bracing but fine after initial shock.

Tried different restaurants every night - Kyma, Terpsis, Hellas, and more!Fantastic food, more upmarket and stylish, although still love traditional tavernas.

Fantastic,infact prob too hot so thats why we going in sept this year it was 36 to 50 degrees in july prob 26 at night one morn at 9am it had reached 34.

Fantastic we loved everything about our holiday there,so much we are going back next weds where the weather is 30 degrees in the day and 23 at night,the sea is much warmer in sept too as had all summer to heat up,we cant wait, the food is excellent,people are lovely and the weather great,the lovely beach there id gorgeous and there plenty too do ,bring on next week.

Rama Rama restaurant yr have too book tho gets busy its that good,and a restaurant up on the hill with spectacular views perfect to watch the sun go down called Nickaloss maybe spelt wrong the food was AMAZING ,and the owners wife had just cooked a bakalava never tasted a desert so good we will eat there least twice when we go there next week.

Very hot. We went 5th to 19th June and had 1 day of mixed cloud and rain, but late afternoon was hot and sunny again.
Otherwise weather was fantastic.
Evenings were gorgeous.

Holiday

We stayed at the Stella Hotel and found it to be a great friendly place. Very clean and very central.
We had a studio room - cleaned/linen changed every 1-2 days.
Pefkos beach was great.
Pefkos Village is lovely, peaceful and has a good safe feeling about it.

We very much like the Bambooze Bar on the main Beach Road. Ran by a pair of great Geordies! Eric and Carol. Lovely atmosphere, good fun, grown up for the evening.
Daytime we liked Flyers Bar on the beach.

Would recommend A visit to Stegna .little fishing village so cute and Marias Little taverna in a side street does a fabulous spaghetti bolognes. Home made of course.

Lovely . We have been in the months of May, June and July and never had bad weather - although may was slightly breezier (cool)

We love Pefkos ! If we don't get to go once a year (even on a mini break) we get fed up !
The main street has a lovely holiday feel about it, with nice shops to bimble around in . The local restaurants are very good and everyone is so friendly.

There are a few small beaches to visit in Pefkos itself, each with a different feel - all nice and relaxing

Locally we love the restaurants : Philosphia (fantastic in the evening, the view of the beach and sunset always stunning); The Tsambika (fantastic view of all of Pefkos from on top of the hill): Kavos (lacking in view but very nice garden restaurant ) and the Spitaki - on the main drag and very atmospheric.

In the daytime we do love pefkos itself but share our time with nearby Lindos - crowded temperamental bus ride away or very easy cab ride ! Beautiful, sandy bays with lovely tavernas. Very chilling ! We also like to hire a car and drive along the coast to some lovely coves/bays near Rhodes town - worth the trip and the search. Get onto coast road and look for signs 'three lovely beaches' - (just past faliraki - don't bother stopping there it is a DUMP ! ) you wont be disappointed , they are blue flag beaches with a taverna each and wonderfully cold water :-)

I have been to Pefkos twice a year now for the past 3 years, cos I love it !
I have been in May, June July and end of Septemeber and each time the weather has been faultless. Septemeber was even in the 40's (celsuis obviously for those Yanks reading this.

The scenery, the people, THE FOOD, the trips, Rhodes Town (big crusaders fan - but not geekily) I could go on and on. If you don't like the rowdy night life scene but prefer a refined dining or bar where ou can talk and watch life pass by, in all its guises, then Pefkos is a must try.

Everytime I have been to Pefkos is feels like I'm coming home after being away for a long time (even if its only 3 months). Eveyone is so friendly adn feels genuine. My wife and I have met friends with a few of the locals, everytime we leave we get a gift; they don't need to but they do. Lovely.

Due to the heat I have not been to the beach in the 5 times I have been but this July I intend to bear the heat and walk to the beach for a try-out - I'm not too keen on sand!

We have been going to Pefkos for the last eight years. It's a lovely place: lovely beaches; amazing people; lovely weather; and food is also delicious.

We have met some amazing people: the local people can not do enough for you and make you really welcome and also have met some friends who go every year and meet us time and time again. Once you go to Pefkos, you will love it and return again and again, as we have.

Went in July and the weather was extremely hot, both night and day. The sky was cloudless for the whole two weeks, windy some nights but with warm air.

Holiday

The holiday was peaceful and enjoyable.

Our apartments were the Finas at the end of the strip. Would recommend this accommodation; it takes about 15 minutes to walk the length of the strip.

The restaurants were very similar with what they were offering, but you could get a 3 course meal for 8 Euros if you wanted.

The bars were not air conditioned, which was disappointing as the nights were very hot.

The resort is quiet and very safe, and I would recommend it for people who do not want a busy night life.

We visited Pefkos in the middle of May and the weather was a mixed bag. We had 6 consecutive hot days but never unbarable, 3 overcast days, and our final day it rained all day. Evenings where warm although a few nights a cardy came in handy, one night was really windy. The locals told us that although May is a little bit unsettled this year had been unusualy bad. It would not stop us visiting at this time of year again though.

Holiday

Pefkos is a pretty little village with just enough bars, tavernas, etc. to try a different one every night for a ten day holiday. It's a family/couples resort and not busy enough for young singles. The beach is pretty and narrow which is ideal for children although in high season I could imagine it gets pretty full.

Our accomadation was spot on we stayed at the Lindia Thalassa appartments just steps away from the beach. Our rooms where large and comfy and spotless. It was part of a complex with the Island Blue Hotel, and the Pefki Island appartments so you could use the facilities at all of them.

It wasn't particularly cheap to eat out but we did not get one bad meal and found the restaurants of a high standard. Lindos is a must go about ten mins on the service bus. We can't wait to got back!

Symi is a must, its a beautiful island but is hot and a tiring day. The tavernas I would recomend are Nostalgia, Hellas [the portions are huge] and for a more pricey but romantic experience, Phisolophia beach bar with beautiful views of the sun setting over the bay. The Rock Bar for a lively night with cocktail shots thrown in by the friendly owner [right at the end of the village across from the bus stop].

We went in September and the weather was good except for some very unusual thunderstorms, we have never seen them there before but we still had a lovely time.

We have also been in June and the weather then was very hot indeed and didnt cool down much in the evening.
September is much cooler in the evening

our holiday was perfect we have been going to Pefkos for 11 years and it feels liike our second home.

The people are so friendly always wanting to help. The food is great and the nightlife is fairly low key but there is a good range of bars and tavernas to keep you occupied.

The accommodation is first class and we always stay at the Pefkos Beach Hotel, you wont find better.

We have been going to Pefkos since 1994 sometimes twice a year!

Taz, Cathy, Marcos & Evi are like family now. They have even been to visit us in Essex! Taz enjoyed his trip to England. We always book our next holiday a couple of weeks after returning to make sure we get what we want.

The villagers in Pefkos are great - friendly, helpful and wlecome you back year after year.

There are great beaches, long and clean.

And if you can eat a horse, the size of the meals at Corallis (last rsturant on the way to Lardos) are out of this world!

For a realy posh night go to Enigma at the end of the village before you start up the hill.
