Weather

We love February because of the mild winters (compared to those in the US, Midwest). Days range from 47 to 59 degrees F. Occasional drizzle and overcast. A trench coat with a hood and zip out lining with a warm scarf is sufficient. Only once in 14 years have we encountered snow.

Holiday

We love Paris so have never had a bad day during our visit. We stay in rental apartments with a full kitchen; it's fun to shop at the fresh markets and relaxing to eat breakfast and supper "at home." We like 'www.vacationsinparis.com' because for many of the apts., the key is sent to us before we leave home. If you have a smartphone, download the app Paris-Sortie. It lists all of the venues in and around Paris, from culture to entertainment, with ticket prices, phone numbers for reservations, etc. This is a must if you like to take advantage of the lesser known spots, smaller cultural institutions, special shows, etc.

There's a fresh market every day of the week in every arrondesmont. You can download the list with the date and location from the internet. Also check out the status on line on "pick pockets in Paris" for the latest precautions. Don't carry any more cash than you can afford to lose and leave your passport in the hotel or apartment safe.

Amazing - Paris is my favourite city (including NYC, London, Rio, Barcelona, Vancouver, LA, San Fran).

I stayed at the FD Roosevelt, a classic European hotel with excellent service and handily close to the Champs- Elysees and the Metro.

Warm still in the evenings.

At Versailles and Giverney really hot in the country.

Wonderful. Paris is surprisingly clean and friendly.

Far and away the most enjoyable city since New York.
