Weather

Around 27-30 during the day from 20th November to 4th December 2013. Couple of degrees cooler at night.
Rain on 22nd and 23rd.
Overall perfect temp for us.

Holiday

Very pleasant visit staying with relatives.
By hotel pool until late tea time
Excellent shopping malls.
Plenty of restaurants (dry).and well known takeaways. KFC, burger places, Subway etc
Most hotels have good bars.
Park with funfair open at night.
Modest dress - we found cropped trousers and tea shirt ok in day(no shorts or strappy tops for women in public)
Evening wear in hotels - didn't seem to matter.
Private beaches if you want sunbathing.
Very clean modern town.
We didn't need to but handy to hire car or plenty of taxis. Always felt safe.

Places Recommended

Grand Mosque early in the morning - we didn't have time.
Intercontinental and Hyatt pools - have to be signed in if not staying there and pay a charge. Good bars and food.
Yacht Club (small charge) private beach for sunbathing. -

Went in Feb, fantastic weather, quite hot but not unbearable,lovely people, very welcoming, loved the little souks, the Mosque and the palace.
Can't wait to go back in 2 days time yipee.
I was worried about what foods would be available but there is every thing from Curry to MacDonalds!

Holiday

Fantastic,I have family there so they showed me round alll the best places and although I was there for 18 days and did loads there were things that I had to miss through lack of time there.

Places Recommended

The Mosque, go up into the mountains and visit the city centre shopping mall.
