Weather
It was scorching hot every day and very warm in the evenings and at night. There was not a cloud in sight. The temperature was in the low 90's every day with the occasional light breeze.
Holiday
We spent a week in Torronova/Plmanova. Fantastic weather, good food and plenty of entertainment for all ages.
We stayed in a self catering apartment which was fine but on the down-side was mid-way up a very steep hill, so beware when booking if you are not fit or are unable to walk up the hill every day, especially in the heat.
Places Recommended
Soller and also the Port de Soller. Palma marina is worth a look, there are thousands of boats of all shapes and sizes. Take a boat trip round the coastal areas.

Weather
Between 28 and 35 degrees. Checking the weather for the two weeks prior to going, there were showers, grey skies though still warm.
We had two full weeks of blissful warmth. Clear night skies and mountain and sea views right across from us.
Holiday
What should a holiday be? A chance to do nothing. Which is what we did.
We unplugged ourselves from mobiles, PCs and even the TV and radio for two weeks. We survived.
I ate ensimadas every morning with great coffee. My husband and daughter had ice cream every day - really good selection of good-quality flavours.
Places Recommended
Go to Palma. Walk through the old part of the town and poke your nose into gated Moorish courtyards with fountains and cobbles - a feast for the eyes.
Good shops too. Sales were on so I seem to have benefited from this too!

The weather was scorching hot! Everyday was sunny blue skies. No rain or clouds for the whole week we went! it was about 25 to 28c and no wind either!!
Holiday
The holiday was very good because the hotel we stayed in was the Delfin Azul and that hotel was the best! It had everything like a bar, swimming pool ,jacuzzi , entertainment, things for the kids and a little shop in the hotel!!
There were markets too.

Weather
Absolutely superb weather with just one storm which was the mother of all storms! I was asleep in front of the TV when the loudest crash ever sent me skywards! I discovered later that a storm coming in from the sea met with a storm coming out from the mountains! Even the locals said they had never known anything like it! Apart from that, every day was sunny with temps about 25 - 27 degrees making sunbathing and swimming blissful! I spent most of August there too, but couldn't venture out to sunbathe/swim until late afternoon!
Holiday
I visit Mallorca four or five times every year, spending a total of up to four months there with the longest ever single stay spanning 10 weeks (summer of 2007). I absolutely love the island and have been visiting on this sort of annual basis since 1981. I have never had a bad holiday (even when I went with my now, and for some years, ex-wife!).My second wife loves the island almost as much as I do and, as for my children who range from 12 - 31, they love it as much as I do!!!
Places Recommended
Sa Coma is where our flat is and, because it's front-line, it's an ideal base. However, there are few places I would not recommend (maybe El Arenal and Magaluff), but those aside, get out and explore! Try February when the island is awash with almond blossom and not tourists!

Weather
Not too good, very dull and had very bad storms in the evenings.
We had a few days of lovely sun....
Had a heavy down pour while out on a glass bottom boat, got well and truely soaked!
Holiday
We enjoyed our time there. 18th -25th Sept 09.
Would have been better if a rep from Thompsons had spoken to us about places to visit.
We stayed at Sa Coma, which was lovely as we could walk in the evenings to neighbour resorts and stop for coffee.
Places Recommended
Of course Palma - take a tour ride round, jumping off at places of interest then hopping back on again..... Many little towns to visit.

Weather
Weather was not as expected, it rained 5 days out of the 7, really heavy rain too!
The two days the sun did shine, though, were really pleasant.
Holiday
The holiday itself was not a very plesant experience, everything was so expensive!
The resort we stayed at was literally in the middle of nowhere, so we had to drive everyday for at least an hour each way to get to the nearest town!
We did find a beautiful cove though called Costa de Calma, it was beautiful.
Places Recommended
Costa de Calma as I just mentioned is really worth a visit.
Despite its reputation for being a "young" persons town Magaluff was really nice too, i would recommend THE BRONZE BAR here for eating - the food was really nice, and the staff spoke english too, a big bonus!
The beach at s'Arenal is nice too, the only downside being the locals here were especially rude and quite iGNORANT.

Weather was brilliant, only one wet day, average of 24C for the week, sometimes higher, cooler evenings but never less than 17C.
A lovely half term weeks holiday, pool use all week, but selected heated options.
Holiday
A lovely week, highly recommended on the north coast.
Some lovely places to go and see.
We had a villa for one week with a heated pool and a pool table, ideal for the children.
Peacefully set in Puerto Pollensa.
A lovely place to find sea front walks, shops and restaurants.

Weather
We went to Majorca in Sept 08, 1st week was glorious sunshine, then 2nd week was a total wash out.
Had 4 days of torrential rain and thunder and lightning!
Not good when u have a 18 mth old baby with you !
Holiday
Fab holiday, lots of restaurants, bars and plenty of things for kids to do, we went to the Aquarium, and
Palma, and also to the Inca market.
We stayed in Siesta 1 apartments, hotel was fabulous, very friendly staff who are very helpful, especially at 3am when we had a screaming baby who was teething!
Cleaners came every day and were really nice, hotel was always spotless.
The Red Lion bar was very nice for food and reasonably priced and the staff were very poilte and love children, and the childrens entertainers at the hotel were brill, kept all kids entertained no matter what their age and even got the adults up dancing and having fun, arron was the funniest entertainer!! definitely going back next year .

Weather
As we went to Mallorca in May the weather wasn't too hot which was great as we went with friends and the children aged from 16 months to 7 and in 2 weeks we only has 2 rainy days and even then it wasn't cold.
Although the pool was freezing!!
Holiday
Best holiday we've had, but would not travel with a toddler again as you can't just go anywhere and going out at night is limited.
The hotel we stayed at was the Hotel Son Baulo in
Can Picafort, and we found it to be very clean with friendly helpful staff.
They couldn't do enough for us when my daughter was taken ill and admitted into hospital the day before we were due to fly home.
Air conditioned rooms, some with a sea view. Two bars, three lounges, restaurant, playground, hairdresser. Adults and children pool surrounded by terraces leading directly to the sandy beach which was very clean and ideal for children as the water was shallow.
A lovely pedestrian promenade leads to the centre by the coast, and there are shops and restaurants in near by.
Take a 20 min walk along the prom and you come to a small harbour with bars and resturants, very nice.
Places Recommended
Palma is a must but you do need the whole day so wouldn't recommend an excursion as they only give you a couple of hours.
The Caves of Drach are worth a visit as is the Pearl factory. Marineland was very good, the kids loved the dophin and seal lion shows.
Water parks are a must if your taking "water babies"!
Going back to the island next week, 23rd September 2008 for a week and this time staying in
Alcudia, can't wait!!

Weather
We went 1st week in October 2006 and the weather was lovely.Just right for a toddler, warm enough to swim in Hotel pool but not too hot that she was botherd by it. 1 wet day in the week but brightened up by tea time.
Holiday
Holiday was Fab, stayed at the Lagotel Playa da Muro just outside
Alcudia. No complaints about the Hotel, very clean, more than 1 swimming pool to choose from, lots for children to do, courtesy bus to beach even though only 15 mins walk. Resort itself is small and quiet, didn't experience nightlife. Ideal for families, if you what to do a little more take a day trip.
Places Recommended
Palma was lovely, busy but great department stores. Valldemossa is beautiful, how
Spain is in picture books from when you are a child, cobble streets with cafes spilling into the streets, shops selling lovely handmade products. Well worth a visit. Hydropark at
Alcudia is a great day out if you are a water person.

Weather
Brilliant. Hot and sunny all week. Only rained on the last day as we were heading to the airport anyway.
Holiday
We hired a self-catering villa just round the corner from the marina through www.villarenters.co.uk and booked flights through BMIBaby from
Cardiff and car hire. The pool was too cold to use but the beaches were fabulous. Maybe we were just lucky with the weather and being out of school holidays, the beaches were remarkably quiet. Our children, aged 7 and 1, loved it.
There are many places to visit on Mallorca and it is an astonishingly clean and laid back island.
We were perhaps prejudiced toward Mallorca before going but it was really great and we are going back in October 2008. We didn't sample the nightlife.
Places Recommended
Any number of beaches like Cala Mondrago, Cala Esmeralda, Cala Ferrera Cala Pi in the south and Cala Santanyi (where a cuttlefish swam up and down just along the shoreline despite the bathers). There is a nice Safari Park at Sa Coma and Valdemossa in the mountains is a must.
I would tend to avoid most animal places like Jumaica as they haven't a clue how to treat them. The caves are pretty dull unless you like caves and we visited Puerto Pollenca and
Alcudia and found them far too built up and touristy. Stick with the coves in the south which are beautiful.

not very hot ,but mostly sunny ,just not enough to use the pool at the villa ,it was end of season so to be expected
Holiday
fanatstic - we hired a villa from james villas at
Can Picafort ,called 'can pedro' ,rented a car and had lots of great days out - forget
Magaluf . This island is stunningly beautiful you will find yourself saying 'wow' once an hour . get up in the mountains on the north coast road or visit porta pollensa ,or the streets ,beach and cathedral of
palma ,the marina at porta nous with its quayside cafes/restaurants. the new aquarium in palma is a delight . dont miss out on going to pollensa ,it is so scenic it will take your breath away. we are going back in june this year to catch the better weather hopefully .the villa has its own fenced grounds with fig trees ,palms,an orange grove ,oh its wonderful. this year we will take the wooden train from soller and lots of other things we didnt cover last time . eating out is a must ,theres some great restaurants in can picafort - well everywhere ,just avoid the rubbishy tapas bars which are mallorcas 'fast food' outlets unless you have a particular passion for it it can be a gamble on quality .its not a cheap place to visit but its not heaving with 'kiss me quick' holiday makers ,the shopping in palma is amazing ,all olde worlde back alleys and cobbles ,loverly sandstone buildings ,delightful garden squares, a fabulous beach and prom - check it out for yourself . so much nicer than mainland spain ,renting a car is essential and you can go anywhere on the island in an hour on very good roads ,take your sat nav

The weather was fantastic during August last year. Not too hot and there was a lovely breeze from the sea to keep us cool. Forgot to mention the perfect blue sky throughout our 2 week stay!
Holiday
Had a very nice time, the people are very friendly and welcoming. We stayed in a great hotel called Hospes Maricel, just outside
Magaluf. It was fantastically decorated to modern standards and the staff were very helpful.
It was great to go touring the beaches and shops through the day then return to a lovely hotel and chill out by the infinity pool accompanied by a cocktail or two while the kids were being entertained elsewhere.
Places Recommended
My family and I only really ventured in and around
Magaluf but we did go on an island tour for a day and would highly recommend visiting
Palma, the capital city.
