Weather

It was partially Rainy but not so bad that the trip would be riuned. October after all is their rainy season.

Holiday

When I was there on or about October the rainy season had begun but that did not put a damper on the trip there where still a few days when it did not rain and there where breaks in the weather to go out and enjoy the country side or the city. Overall the town is divided in 2 parts the old and the new the old is best enjoyed with a local because they can point out the historical parts and tell you about the history of the town during the ww2 invasion and the revolution.

A few places that cant be missed are the traboules (secret passages) that where used during those periods. Also, you have to eat the local cuisine, I may be a bit more adventourous than whoever reads this but I will try anything once before I say I did not like it (at least I can say I tried it and didnt like it) but I did not find anything I did not like. The new section is very modern and their transit system rivals that of New York.

The schedule is strictly enforced so if they say the bus or tram will be there at a certain time it will be. There are alot of things to see on the new area but Im confident you will not be spending alot of time there, you will be on the old part more and on the museums.

Places Recommended

The luminiere Museum

Musee des miniatures et decor de cinema

The Roman amphitheater

The list would go on for a while...
