Weather

The weather in Lindos this year has been consistently hot with blue skies.
Unusually there were many windy days with white horses on the water outside the bays.
Evenings were very warm.

Holiday

Disappointingly there was a huge amount of litter at the beach.
The areas away from the main beach by the cafes were strewn with old sunbeds, pieces of wood, rubbish bins that were there were full and overflowing.
The boardwalks were generally covered in sand and in places broken. Dogs were seen to foul the sand and owners not pick up afterwards (English surprisingly!)

Our holiday was not affected other than commenting on how low the standard of the top section of beach was, we walked along the boardwalk merely to reach a quiet area.

Fabulous weather, some days a bit too hot but that's life. We went for the sun and got it.

Holiday

My husband and I really enjoyed, loved the beaches, restaurants and bars. We have been 10 times so that explains a lot.

I am 60 and my husband is 59 but we were l up dancing in the Lindian house bar to the great music and atmosphere.

We went swimming almost every day - steep inclines down to the beaches but if you take your time and wear sensible shoes you will be fine.

We stayed in the Apostolos studios, St Paul's Bay, great value for money. Try and get a room with a verandah fab views. Maid came in 6 times a weeks. Couldn't fault it.

You have to to go to the top of the Acropolis, walk, don't go be donkey, it's not fair on them. The views are stunning.
Plenty of roof top restaurants try Dyonnisos, Acropolis taverna on beach and in the village. , Stefanos and don't forget Marios he's not on the roof but excellent value and great personality. Small and friendly. Try the Chinese Empire of the sun delicious beef in pineapple and ginger.

The weather was so hot throughout the day and into the evening but it was just the way I like it especially after the dissapointing weather we endure in Britain.

Holiday

It is truly an amazing place with wonderful kind and helpful people. I would recommend Lindos.
We went with our 13 year old daughter and she enjoyed it. I do however have 3 older sons and I think if they were there with us that they would have enjoyed Lindos as well and there is a good mix for various ages.

We stayed at Lindos Gardens and can not praise them enough.

Weather

Hot and sunny during high season with temperatures around 27 to 33 degrees. Occasionally it gets much hotter for a spell, usually a few days, and can also become very humid which some find uncomfortable. In May and late September there is more chance of showers and occasional thunderstorms. All in all though, Rhodes has near perfect holiday weather!

Lovely! Very picturesque with friendly people and lots of small bars dotted along narrow cobbled streets. Not really suitable for people with mobility problems though as the village is situated on a hillside and teens and younger people will find it a bit staid.

Places Recommended

Lindos is lovely. Take a trip to the ancient Acropolis on top of the hill and which overlooks the village on foot or by donkey (5 euros). St Paul's Bay and the main beach are great for swimming and sunning. Take a bus to the nearby villages of Pefkos, Lardos and Gennadi which are worth a look, and Prasonisi where the Med meets the Aegean is a must.

Weather was in the high 90s for all of our 2 weeks we were next to the beach so we were in the sea nearly all day .

Holiday

We stayed at Lindos Avra Appts for 2 weeks in june 2007 rooms were basic but clean and every thing you needed for self catering was available the people looking after the rooms were very nice we will be there again from 5th july to 19th july 08 see you there
