Temperature
It is October and autumn and the warmer weather is still here but not for much longer. The average temperature has dropped to 20°C, 5°C less than last month and towards the end of the month it will start getting cooler as winter is near. The average high/lows are 14°C and 26°C so the days can still get warm enough to go to the beach but the evenings will be cooler with the end of outdoor dining getting nearer. The nighttime low at the end of the month will be hitting single digits. It can be hot in the sun and sunscreen is still recommended at the beach. Chances of a sunny day have dropped to 51% and the chance of a cloudy day has risen to 6%.
Rain
Average rainfall will start to increase from this month as winter and the wet season start in earnest. Rainfall has rocketed from 10mm to 90mm falling over 6 days and the chance of rain has risen to 20%. The average humidity is still low at 60% but will start to increase at the end of the month when more rain and the odd warmer day will increase humidity to 65%. The chance of windy days has also increased to 10%.
Sunshine Hours
Hours of sunshine are still at 11 hours a day and this will drop towards the end of the month when it hits the low of 10 hours a day. It is still pleasant to be outdoors on fine days and warm enough to spend a few hours at the beach in the hottest part of the day.
The foggy days should be over now until summer arrives with no foggy days expected for the next few months.

There is the Turkish café and a snack bar as well as several drink bars and there is also room service. Not as many bars operate during winter but there are still 4 to choose from.
Have a swim in the indoor pool or work out at the fitness centre and gym, try the Turkish bath and sauna or watch a movie in the theatre. If you are in need of relaxation and pampering make a reservation at the spa and wellness centre for a massage or beauty treatment.
Grand Park Lara
Grand Park Lara offers you complimentary toiletries in all rooms with air conditioning, mini bar, private bathroom and satellite TV. Choose from an economy, standard, deluxe or family rooms and for large families you can have adjoining rooms. Eat at one of 2 restaurants. International buffet or Chinese and enjoy a drink at one of the bars and lounges. There is room service but not 24 hours a day. If you need to be pampered visit the spa and if you fancy a work out visit the fitness centre. There is a kids club, games room and you can learn yoga for relaxation.

If you are looking for great Turkish food try the Pasa Bey Kebapcisi where the service is friendly and quick with generous portions and fresh tasty dishes. The mixed grill is a favourite as are the fresh and zingy salads with a pomegranate dressing.
Terrace Ice Cafe
When in Antalya, visiting Kaleici, go to the Terrace Ice Café for a light snack and drink during the day or for a meal at night. The coffee is good and service is friendly. The lamb koftas are a favourite and the beer is also good with a wide range of both beer and wine.
Things to do in Lara Beach in October
The PGA Sultan and Pasha Courses
For the golf lover there are several courses around Lara Beach and Antalya you can play a few holes and relax on the beautiful fairways and greens. The PGA Sultan and Pasha courses will entice any golfer to try the course. The Sultan is a par 71 course with many beautiful waterways and landscaped fairways making a golf day fun and rewarding. The Pasha is a par 72 course with dog legs, lakes and bunkers in just the wrong spot to test your skills. You can book a lesson with the course pro golfer or check out the golf academy for young players.
Some of the resorts have golf courses but these 2 are the main PGA courses in the area and worth having a go at regardless of your experience and handicap.
Kaleici
For history buffs a trip to the Old Town or Kaleici is a must. Walk through Hadrian's Gate into the fortressed city that extends to the beach. The area has many markets and boutique shops, statues of notable historical figures such as Hadrianus, the Roam Emperor. The cobbled stone streets add to the old world charm of this restored precinct.
Turkish Baths
For a complete change of piece visit a hammam or Turkish bath. An all inclusive visit includes your transport, sauna, scrub and oil massage.
