What's the Weather like at Lara Beach in May 

Temperature 

May weather is heating up and the time is right for beach activities on the hotter days. Lara Beach is a great spot for swimming now that the average temperatures are hitting 20°C. This is between the average high/low temperatures of 14°C and 26°C. The ocean will be slowly getting warmer and the high season has started this month with all of the attractions open for summer times and hours.

Rain 

With the hotter weather the rainfall has decreased to an average of just 20mm falling over 6 days. Rainfall will decrease even during the summer months and won't increase at all until October. The average humidity has dropped with less rain and higher temperatures to 65%. It will drop again next month when rainfall drops again and temperatures get higher. The chance of rain has dropped to just 20% and the chance of a cloud to 7%.

Sunshine Hours 

Sunshine hours remain high at 12 each day and this will remain for all of summer and into autumn. Chances of a sunny day have rocketed to nearly 50% as the Mediterranean beach weather starts. The chance of a windy day has also dropped to a low 5%. You may still experience a sea breeze that will keep evenings a little cool this month.

There will be a few foggy days during summer with just 1 foggy day this month and next month. The maximum number of foggy days is a low average of 2 days seen in July. Once the weather starts to cool the advent of foggy days will decrease.

Choose from standard or deluxe rooms with air conditioning, mini bar, satellite TV, hair dryer and bathroom. Eat at one of the 6 a la carte restaurants with various international cuisines or choose the buffet restaurant with a great choice of dishes for adults and children. There are 5 bars, at the pool, beach, disco and a vitamin bar for great healthy juice drinks. The children have their own kid's club with activities and entertainment during the day and a swimming pool just for them. There are children's menus at all eateries and a great playground for lots of fun. There are many sports here on the beach and in the resort including beach volleyball and football, tennis, basketball and aerobics. You can workout at the fitness centre or relax in the sauna and Turkish bath.

Lara Beach Beach for April 

Lara Beach is a long stretch of sand around the coast from Antalya city centre. The area is becoming a prime spot for locals and tourists for Mediterranean holidays. The beach is backed by commercial outlets that will rent you a sun bed or lounger and sun umbrellas. Just past the Lower Duden waterfall that cascades into the sea is the start of the beach that extends for several kilometres. It is a public beach up to the Pier, Lara Halk Plaji and after that are several private beaches that you will pay to use. They have the numbers 1 through 8 and some fun names.

Bars and Restaurants 

Ella's

If you love Greek food head to Ella's, the first Greek restaurant here in Lara. The seafood is fresh and well cooked and all your favourite Greek dishes are here. Enjoy the music and dancing and the plate breaking!

Pescador Lara Balikcisi

For lovers of fish and seafood you need to try Pescador Lara Balikcisi. This is a relatively new eatery with outdoor and indoor dining sections. On warm summer evenings the outdoor are is a must with a cool breeze from the ocean cooling the day down. At cooler times of the year stay indoors to eat where you still have views over the Mediterranean.

Things to do in Lara Beach in April

Toy Museum

The Toy Museum is open all year except for Mondays. There are toys here from all over the world dating back hundreds of years. You are greeted by Red Kit and his dog Rin Tin Tin. There are also character toys of famous people like Elvis Presley and Cher. There are toys made of tin and wood many of which were made in the 1950s.

Duden Waterfalls

Duden Waterfalls are located north east of Antalya and are more than 20 metres high. There is a cave below the waterfalls where you can stand behind the cascade as it rushes down in to the pools below. About 8 kilometres down river from the waterfall the river falls over a 40 metre high cliff into the sea near Lara Beach. The water falling into the sea can be seen from boating tours in the Mediterranean.
