Weather
Absolutely boiling hot - loved the heat. Word of warning though, use flip flops for getting on and off the beach as the sand is that hot it burns your feet.Holiday
We loved our stay at the Louis Zante beach hotel. We went all inclusive with 4 adults and 3 kids aged 10-12. The hotel has direct access to the beach so there is no need to take beach bags as it is so easy to walk to. The sea is amazingly warm. Also it is very shallow which is really great for little ones. The only down side to this hotel is that there is no WIFI and the internet corner consists of 1 old PC that takes ages to connect and then when it eventually does you have run out of time and need to buy another card from reception. Prices: 2 euros for 15 mins ( Don't bother). A
Also not much entertainment for the kids 10-12yrs on in the evening. Laganas itself it not a place you would want to take the kids after 9pm as it is mad and heaving with 18-30's. Not many shops, as they are all selling the same stuff. You could walk down the beach into laganas from our hotel but it is very dark and there are no walkways. There is no proper footpaths from the hotel into Laganas from the other side of the hotel too and there are a lot of mad drivers around.
The resort is in need of bringing up to date. Having said that we enjoyed ourselves and would try the Louis hotels again. We will maybe try Pathos next time?
Places Recommended
A trip on a boat to see the Loggerhead turtles is a must. Don't book via your tour operator as you can book directly on the beach for approx 10 euros per person. It usually takes about an hour. They also guarentee a refund if you do not see any.Recommend Laganas to others
