Bhairab Mask Display – Indra Chowk 🗓
The enormous mask of Aakash Bhairab is revealed annually during Indra Jatra. Devotees receive sacred offerings from the shrine, and priests conduct daily rituals before crowds visiting the display throughout the festival period.

Indra Jatra (Yenya) – Basantapur Durbar Square 🎡
One of Kathmandu’s most important annual festivals, Indra Jatra features masked Lakhey dances, chariot processions of the Living Goddess Kumari, and ritual displays at shrines throughout the old city. Ceremonies honour Indra, the rain god, and celebrate Newar heritage.
