The weather in Kambos was hot and sunny tempered by the the wind/breeze which on some days could be very strong.Holiday
The resort has a long narrow front with one road going through it. The surrounds are mountainous.The beach is coarse sand and when the wind is blowing full strength it is impossible to keep the beach umbrella up. The beach shelved quite quickly and deeply into the sea and would be unsuitable for non swimmers. It has an excellent choice of reasonable priced Greek restaurants many serving fresh fish. Not many shops here and no bus service. We stayed at the Sofia hotel which was basic but adequate.. Kambos is a resort suitable for couples wanting a tranquil holiday in a quiet and isolated position.
