    Jandia Weather for June 2019

As summer begins in Jandia, a town on the south coast of Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands of Spain, the temperatures keep on rising. They don't, however, climb high enough to make things uncomfortable when you are outside. The June temperatures are absolutely perfect. Therefore, it is a great time for outdoor activities. In the afternoons, the average high temperature is 24°C. The nights are pleasantly warm as well, with an average low temperature of 18°C—perfect for after-dinner strolls along the beachfront. Both these average high and low temperatures increase in the course of the month, by about two degrees. The average daily temperature is 21°C, which is one degree warmer than it was in May.

Rain is incredibly rare during the month of June, not to say non-existent. Usually, the entire month passes without any rainfall at all. The monthly total of rainfall is, in fact, little more than nothing. There aren't any days with precipitation whatsoever. The same extremely dry weather conditions will also be experienced in July and August. Throughout June, the chance of experiencing rainfall ranges between 3% and 5%, which essentially equals no rain at all. June is a gloriously dry month in Jandia, a perfect time for outdoor activities, sunbathing and swimming in the Atlantic Ocean.

Cloud cover is low this time of year—it even decreases further in the course of the month. The percentage of cloud cover drops from 40% to 35%, which means that at the end of June the sky is mostly clear. Overcast skies will only be experienced 12% of the time this month.

This decrease of cloud cover, of course, allows more sunrays to hit the resort's beaches. The typical day in June has 11 hours of bright sunshine. Only July is a sunnier month, with its 12 hours of sunshine per day on average.

June is also the "longest" month of the year—that is, in terms of day length. June 21 is the longest day of the whole year and has 13.58 hours of daylight. The other days of the month are slightly shorter. These long days also influence the amount of sunshine hours per day (in a good way, of course).

June is a great month for visiting the islands because of the warm, dry weather. It is a popular time for holidays to the islands, the very start of the busy summer season, even. Because the weather is wonderful throughout the entire month, it is a great time for nature walks, off-road travel, visiting sites of interest, swimming, sailboarding and participating in a variety of water sports and activities.  Jandia lies conveniently close to other resorts and towns on the island—places that also enjoy superb summer weather in June. It is also an excellent time for sunbathing and just relaxing on the beach. Because of the extreme dryness of the month, rain showers should be the last thing on your mind when visiting Jandia in June!

SBH Jandia Resort is a three-star all-inclusive resort that includes breakfast and some other options to help make your stay as pleasant as possible. About two dozen kilometres of light colored fine sand with clear shallow water make Jandia a popular holiday destination. There are literally dozens of beaches to choose from in the area, but the size of the beach can be greatly impacted by the tide, so it is wise to check for high and low tide before planning a beach visit. Also, when visiting in June, make sure to drink plenty of water when out and about in the sun, use plenty of sun cream and, of course, take a dip warm water! The ocean temperature averages 20°C, which is definitely warm enough for swimming and various water sports, such as kiteboarding and parasailing. The following five months will see water temperatures that are even higher, before it drops back to 20°C in December.

There are literally dozens of restaurants throughout Jandia offering local foods, Spanish and Italian cuisine and a variety of beverages. For a taste of the nightlife, a visit to Eskimo Bar may be in order. A popular bar with a great atmosphere, this pub is frequented by locals and tourists alike.

Regardless of your preferred foods, you are bound to find it at one of the many dining options located along the peninsula and throughout the islands.

There are plenty of things to do in Jandia in June, so you have plenty of options. Of course, diving, sailing, jet skiing, windsurfing and swimming are popular because of the beautiful clear sea.  If you enjoy water sports, a visit to Sotavento Beach may be in order. Usually not crowded, the area has pleasant beaches, there area has volleyball and parks that guests can enjoy as well. Check the tide when planning to visit the area because the beach is expansive when tide is out.

The Rene Egli Pro centre is located on Sotavento Beach and provides great facilities for those who enjoy water sports. The facility helps plan kiteboarding and windsurfing holidays. The Beach House is also a great stop on the beach because it provides the details you need about water sports and beach activities.
