Temperature
October sees the start of the winter months in Holguin but that certainly does not mean that the temperatures will be cold. A more mid-range hotel to stay at is the Hotel Pernik which is a 3 star hotel that mainly has couples and friend staying at. There is a lovely bar and snack area where you will commune with others staying at the hotel. The rooms have lovely comfortable beds and a clean bathroom with the hotel also offering good dinners in the evenings. It is a great place to stop if passing through travelling.

La Perla Del Norte
A great place to eat is at the La Perla Del Norte restaurant which is in Gibara and has great food and equally great people running it and serving. A dish that comes highly recommended by holidaymakers who have eaten here is the lobster. They have a lovely top terrace where you can eat with great views.
Things to Do In Holguin In October
Parque Carlos Manuel de Cespedes
Holguin has some lovely parks in and around the city which make for great photo opportunities and relaxing walks. One of those parks is the Parque Carlos Manuel de Cespedes which is known for its beautiful array of flowers. If you're feeling hungry or it starts to rain then there are plenty of restaurants and cafes around the park for shelter and to enjoy a bite to eat or drink.
Cristobal Colon Park
Another great park to visit is the Cristobal Colon Park where you can enjoy a day horseback riding. There is also a place for fishing if this is something you also enjoy doing. You can also enjoy a long walk through the park and looking at the many interesting artifacts it has to offer. There are sometimes musicians dotted around the park that adds to the relaxing and serene atmosphere.
