Holiday
Not good, I have travelled a lot, 7 or 8 holidays a year, only place I wouldn't revisit, shop owners are rude grab your hand and pull you onto there shops and try to sell you fake rubbish, what ever you do when they find out you are from UK, they want to rip you off, bars, hotel and taxis, if I put somethings that happened you would be shocked.
Places Recommended
No not really.

Weather
Weather on arrival was 21 degrees Celsius and dropped to 19 for the rest of time.
Holiday
Very good holiday.
We stayed at the Hotel Phenicia in Hammamet.
So good that we are back there from 28th April to 5th May.
Places Recommended
Figura Park, but not if you use a wheelchair as I struggled getting my wife round.
Also Yasmine Hammamet is well worth a visit.
Be prepared to be haggled at the markets.

Weather
I came in December to escape the Christmas cold and found the weather pleasant during the days, but a liitle chilly at nights.
Holiday
Great!
Restful after a few hectic months in London.
Don't believe stories of unrest. Tunisia is calm and as friendly as ever.
Places Recommended
This is my 10th visit, so have seen many places including Carthage, Jem and places in the North such as Tabarka, which is so unspoilt it is a paradise..

Weather
Only rained for 2 hours in my 35 day trip to the Sahara.
It was hot in the daytime but very cold at night.
Due to the lack of light pollution the stars at night were awesome.
Holiday
This was my first holiday abroad ever, it was 5 star all the way.
I stayed at Hotel Phenicia and I am going back on the 3 January 2010 for 42 nights.
Places Recommended
Go on a safari trip, brilliant.
Go to Neubul, great place and the people were great.

Weather
I will have spent two and a half months in Hammamet this year by the time I come home on the 3rd of Jan.
My first fortnight in June was very hot. I then went back to spend the whole of August there, we had storms but on the whole again it was beautiful and hot. When it did rain it came down in bucket loads
My last visit was in October when the weather was on the turn. The nights were getting cooler but it was still very pleasent and worth being there.
I am looking forward to flying out on the 20th Dec for Christmas
Holiday
My June holiday was spent at the Fourati.
The gardens in the hotel are fantastic. The hotel was once a private villa. All staff were friendly but you have to get used to the resturant staff they can be bullish. The food was very poor and not much choice. My room was very good and so was the beach.
My August holiday was at the Bel Azur. Do not believe the readers comments about this hotel. It is a very good one. It was my first time there and I have no complaints at all.
Places Recommended
El Jem has got to be top of the list, this colluseum takes your breath away.
Other places worth visiting are Douga the Roman site, this is another of my favourites.
There are no dissapointments in Tunisia

Weather
I have been to Hammamet two times this year and have today booked a week away there over the new year.
It's been lovely and hot on both visits.
Holiday
Our first holiday was amazing.
I took my two teenagers and we enjoyed it very much. Yes, there are places where they try the hard sell and harrass you but stay firm and carry on your conversation. This is a poor country and they need to sell to live so give them a break please.
Try the water sports. I'm terrified of heights but was reassured of my safety by a lovely guy on the beach who went parasailing with me ... thanks Chakir.
It's very cheap to do the water activities, but dont think that they are in anyway less safety aware. These guys are funny and joke but trust me they take their jobs and the safety of their customers very seriously. Look out for Chakir, dreadlocks, always smiling .. Tell him Julie from london sent you ..enjoy!

Weather
The weather was great you could not fault it.
I would recomend it to anyone, if you like the hot weather go for it!
Holiday
I liked the holiday apart from the maid service.
It was terrible, we swept our own floor and I made the bed. She had the cheek to ask for a tip, and she got her answer to that!
Places Recommended
I never visited anywhere!

Weather
I went to Tunisia for two weeks from July to August. The weather was really hot as I went at the peak of the summer. Most days the temperature was above 40 degrees and it even reached 45 degrees for a few days!
The sky was clear all holoiday, except for one day when I saw two small puffy clouds in the sky!
I spent literally all of the holiday in the swimming pool or in the sea because the heat was so unbearable. However, I went to Tunisia because I knew it would be hot and I knew I would get a tan!
Holiday
I stayed at an all-inclusive hotel called Riu El Kebir so I didn't try any food outside of the hotel! The food at the hotel was wonderful because it was a buffet with a great selection to choose from. Unfortuantely I don't know what the food was like at the restuarants! It was a 4* hotel and the accommodation was wonderful. All of the floors at the hotel were marble! It was much posher than I expected it to be!
Overall I found the holiday very enjoyable due to the weather. However it was very touristy and basically the whole of Tunisia was crammed with tourists.
I expect the resort would be less busy during the cooler months, so this will probably be the time to explore the area.
